Create a squashable Christmas Card with Kylie.Video included.

August 8, 2017

Hello friends, Kylie with you all today and I am very excited to be back for another term on the Kaisercraft Design Team.Such a wonderful company to represent.I am so grateful!

Today I have a fun tutorial for you all using the new Christmas Jewel collection.

This lovely collection features lots of silver glitter and foil as well as a beautiful array of tonings in mauve through to purple.Since it was so festive I really wanted to make a unique and fun card. I recently completed a ‘Squashable’ Christmas Card.Once folded this pint size cutie only measures 7.5cm x 7.5cm, BUT!…………..

When it opens out……..

It reveals your Christmas message as well as some photos for that personalised touch.

Since it folds in to be so compact it makes it the perfect size for adding to a gift or for mailing. Thanks to its numerous panels, it makes way for being able to add lots of embellishments-

The folding technique can be a tiny bit tricky to begin with…..Just a little, promise…… But once you master it you will find it very simple indeed.I have prepared a video tutorial today which will show you all how I made mine from start to finish.

I hope you have enjoyed my project and it inspires you to give one a go!

 Happy Crafting!

Kylie. xo

Card Making Christmas Jewel Decorative Dies Mabel Sim NEW Product

Cards with Christmas Jewel

August 7, 2017

Hi Kaisercrafters, Mabel here and I’m here to share my first DT post for Kaisercraft!

Christmas Jewel is definitely an unique collection that breaks away from the traditional Christmas colors. I was pleasantly surprised by the looks of this collection and it inspired me to create Christmas cards. It is never too early to start prepping for Christmas!

I had created 2 different cards with the same Kaisercraft supplies.

A simple shaker card will bring some fun to the recipient of the card!

If you realized, I had actually recycled the negatives of the die cutting of snowflakes and used it as the background of my second card!

Kaisercraft Products: Christmas Jewel: PP1025 Paper Pad | P2361 Silver Poinsettia | SS344 Sticker Sheet | CT887 Collectables | DD446 Mini Snowflakes Dies | GC103 Platinum Glitter Cardstock | T330 Die Release Tool | CD501 Card Pack Square | T303 Foam Tape | T314 Double Sided Tape

Others: Sequins | Marker Pen | Border Puncher | Die Cutting Machine | Acetate

That’s all for my posts today.

Hope you like the cards I made.

Have a great day ahead. Creative day too.

Mabel

Create a ‘Fold out Bouquet’ card with Kylie.Video included.

July 25, 2017

Hello sweet Kaisercraft friends.Today I am sharing a fun project using the delightful new ‘Lilac Whispers’ collection.Have you seen this range as yet? It is so soft and pretty!

As soon as I saw the lovely floral prints I knew I wanted to create a special card. I decided to make a fold out ‘Bouquet’ card. Here is a look at the finished result-

Using the Decorative Heart Die DD559 as a background I’ve kept most layers fairly minimal.

When the card is opened it reveals a fold out bouquet of paper blooms.

I have prepared a short process video of how to create this style of card-

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project for today.

Until next time,

Kylie.

Card Making Sage & Grace

Playing with cards and Sage & Grace

May 24, 2017

There’s nothing like discovering a collection that is pretty and very versatile! The possibilities for creating just seem endless and the creative juices start flowing! The new Sage & Grace collection is exactly that – pretty and versatile. The soft pastel colours with the beautiful imagery make creating projects so easy. Whether you are a scrapbooker or card maker you will just love this range. To top it all off there are also two of my favourite embellishments – ornate frames and butterflies :)

‘Love Always’ Card

Kaisercraft products used: PP1019 Paper Pad | CD651 Craft cardstock | CT881 Sage & Grace Collectables | PL505 Pearl Strips – Latte

I love using the different frames and layering them with foam tape to create dimensions on the card.

How beautiful is this butterfly? The dusky pink is such a fabulous colour!

‘Happy Birthday’ Card

Kaisercraft products used: PP1019 Paper Pad | CD651 Craft cardstock | CT881 Sage & Grace Collectables |  RS453 Rhinestone Strips – Pink |  SB701 Rhinestones – Soft Pink | IT446 Designer Template – Bloom |  F640 Paper Blooms – Fairy Floss | F657 Paper Blooms Mini – Fairy Floss |  KM111 Kaiser Mist – White |

OTHER:  Texture Paste Opaque

Layering the florals from the Paper Pad along with some paper blooms adds gorgeous tones and textures to the card

By using an opaque texture paste instead of white, you get a soft textured impression on the card rather than an obvious and hard white one. This adds interest to the page without distracting from the gorgeous Sage & grace elements on the card

I hope you enjoy creating with this stunning collection! Happy crafting
