Beyond the Page Kaiser Mists P.S I Love You Templates

December creation – playing in the art journal

December 2, 2016

Sometimes life gets pretty hectic and scrapbooking gives you that little outlet that allows you to slow down and take a breath!  With the end of school term approaching and Christmas not long after that, I had the urge to sit down and just play. An art journal is a wonderful way to do this – no rules, just get messy and have fun!

The new P.S. I love you collection features gorgeous dusty pinks and deep shades of grey. The beautiful floral and vintage imagery provides endless inspiration to start creating. I was drawn to the softness of the flowers on the ‘Beloved’ paper (P2209) and it’s reverse side – a fabulous Dictionary script

‘The Best is Yet to Be’ a Journal page

Kaisercraft products used: P2209 ‘Beloved’ | IT922 Designer Template Butterfly | KM102 Kaiser Mist Antique Gold | KM110 Kaiser Mist Pink | KM111 Kaiser Mist White | ST929 Clear Stickers Inspirational |

The background is made up of Kaiser Mists in Pink and Antique Gold. These have both been sprayed with a water bottle to make them more like water colours and this also makes them easier to move around the page.

When using Mixed Media, the Kaisercraft Clear Stickers are great to use as they will stick on  your page. Once you have some mediums onto your page it can be difficult to get rub ons to take.

The new Designer Template – Butterfly is stunning. It provides you with 4 amazing designs so you are never stuck for choice! I chose the ‘The best is yet to be’ quote and as you can see, the texture paste worked really well with it

I hope I have given you some ideas for your next lot of creating! The new P.S. I love you collection is stunning and you will have many happy hours playing with these gorgeous pages!

Gorgeous, love the way you have integrated the paper into the art journal itself. Great pages

Thank you Rosemary! These papers are just so gorgeous and I didn’t want to cover up the beautiful floral imagery!

Wow Sonia just beautiful as always. Is that a photo you have used printed on normal paper or a magazine cutting. I lost my scrapbook mojo but I’m back lol. I’ve been watching in the background. Love this.

Hi Petrina, sorry to take so long to get back to you – I’ve been away on holiday with minimal internet! Thank you for your lovely comment. The image is one that has just being printed onto normal paper using an ink jet printer, I then used the gel medium transfer process to transfer the image, I hope the scrapbooking mojo continues for you :)
