We’re TOTES for change!

August 24, 2018

Kaisercraft has always had a heart to help those who are less fortunate. Along with product donations for groups raising funds for organisations like the Cancer Council, for many years Kaisercraft has been supporting disadvantaged children from around the world, helping to give them a hope and a future. We have assisted children in Sri Lanka, Zambia, Thailand, Philippines, Fiji, Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan.

In Fiji, we have provided monthly support for up to 8 preschools which have provided quality education for a number of Fiji’s disadvantaged children.

Since 2010, in association with African Action International (an Australian Non-Profit Organisation) we have helped to finance the building of a school in Uganda for over 500 children including a special program for a small number of deaf children. In Uganda, deaf children are quite often not educated as there is very little help and schools do not have the facilities or staff to teach them. The school provides meals for the students and boarding for students that have a long way to travel to get to school. This school has gained great recognition from the government as a “model school”.

Kenya is where we support Mercy Children’s Academy and Children’s home, once again in association with African Action. The home houses up to 50 children and reaches out to the community around them, helping where they can. The school has over 300 students and is in urgent need of brick buildings to replace the corrugated iron sheds they had used as classrooms. Along with this they need new toilets and water facilities.

In South Sudan, a new school is being built by African Action International. We are providing funds to assist in this project. Eight classrooms are currently ready and a bore has been dug. The next step is to build a teacher’s residence, kitchen, external toilets and then equipment for the classrooms. This school will hopefully start in 2019. Once completed, many nearby refugees will have access to much needed education.

Beautiful contribution to helping the world. It would have been great to read what Australian charities have been helped too. Thank you for sharing Kaisercraft’s wealth to those less fortunate.
