Beyond the Page Kaisercraft

Twig & Berry BTP…

September 14, 2012

Today we have some beautiful Beyond The Page projects on show for you, this morning with the Twig & Berry Collection.

‘Candy Gift Box’ by Hetty Hall

Kaisercraft Materials used: Twig & Berry Collection – December (P909), Paper Pad (PP876), Collectables (CT722), Sticker Sheet (SS148), Pearl Strips – White (PL501).

Other: Acetate, ribbon

Hetty says: “It was so much fun creating this little box which I filled with Jaffa’s. The whole project is so easy to do that I decided to create a little tutorial for you all.
Start creating these great little gifts for your family and friends now using your favourite Kaisercraft Christmas collection, and show them how organized you are.”

Cut two pieces of paper 3″ x 3″ and two strips of paper (I used the Kaisercraft trimmer to scallop the edges) 8 1/4″ x 1/2″. Cut a piece of acetate (I used thick acetate) 8 1/4″ x 3 1/2″.

Score the squares 1/2″ on each side.

Cut on the score line to where they connect with the opposite score line, do this twice on each site (see photo). Glue the tabs and put the box bottom and top together.

Adhere the paper strips to the bottom and top box pieces as shown in photo.

Score acetate at every 1 15/16″ . Prefold.

Put some double sided tape at the bottom outside of the acetate and on the little tab. Form into a box and insert inside one of the paper box pieces.

Your box is now ready to be decorated. Why not try some different patterned papers and some fancy edge punches. Below are some more ideas.
