Tuesday Tip: Quick Candle Holders

“Hi everyone! Today I want to show you how you can make some quick cute little gifts for someone special.

You will need: small glasses (they need to be as straight as possible), paper of your choice, lace, paper blooms, pearl or rhinestone flourishes and green leaves (I used plastic leaves). Additionally you will need a border puncher, double-sided tape and craft glue.

Materials Used:
Miss Nelly Collection Paper – Her Eyes/P707; Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink/F641, Ruby/F636; Pearl Flourishes/PL515.
Other: glasses, lace, leaves, border punch, glue, double sided tape.

Cut 2 strips of scrapbooking paper. The width of the strips should be about same as the height of your glasses. The length of the paper and lace strips should be about 1 cm more than the circumference of the glasses – you don’t want to end up with a little gap when you stick the paper to the glass!

Use your border punch to decorate the edges of the paper strips. Then, using double-sided tape, stick it to the glasses. Place the lace strips over the paper. If you worry that you will be able to see the tape through the lace, then you can stick it with a few drops of craft glue, just make sure that you glue dries clear.

The last step will be decorating your candle holders. For mine, I just used some paper blooms, green leaves and pearl swirls. You can do it according to your taste and imagination – the decoration part can be as simple or as complicated as you desire! Have fun!”
