Tuesday Tip- Flower from a Punch!

Hi ladies, welcome to the blog today. We have Genevieve Allen here with us to take today’s Tuesday Tip!

Genevieve Says:
“Tuesday means…another Tuesday Tip! So today, I’ll show you how to make a flower with an oval punch!”

“Select a paper that has a design on both sides. Punch 5 ovals out. Mine measure 1 1/4″ x 2″. Also, punch a circle about  1 1/4″.

To make the petals:

Step 1) Fold the oval just below half way, so you are able to see the reverse side design.

Step 2) Turn your petal over and mark a dot in the centre of the horizontal base.

Step 3) Still having the reverse side up, fold both sides towards the centre and glue down. Use the mark made in step 2) to help to make sure the point is centred.

Step 4) Turn the petal over to the front and round the petals a little towards you, giving it dimension.

Repeat all steps for each oval.

“Mark the center of your circle. Stick the 5 petals around the circle by overlapping them slightly.

Decorate the center of the flower to your how you wish.

Now you have a wonderful embellishment to use on your layout!”
