Tuesday Tip: Concertina Cards

Hello everyone!

Today we have Jodi Dolbel with our Tuesday Tip: Concertina Cards..ENJOY!!

Jodi says:

The Hunter and Gather Collection is perfect for the Men in our lives!! The designs are simple and feature things that our Men enjoy.

Today I would like to show you a very simple technique that really makes the most of the designs in this collection. Our Men aren’t fond on fussiness, so we can make them a really cute simple card that will still look really great in our collection and we can also have a little fun with it.

Concertina Card Technique:

Cut your base paper 21cm x 30 cm

Mark at the base of your card every 7.5 cm and score a line from top to bottom at that point.

Mark a section on the front of your card and then score a line from that point to the top corner of the back of your card. Cut this. (I started mine from the finish of the bird design on the front of the card)

You can cover the inside of the card that faces out by marking the shape of your card on a separate piece of paper  and then cutting out; just leaving a small border of the original card showing through.

Embellish as desired. The great thing about using the patterned paper design is that the card doesn’t need as much embellishing. The design looks great on its own!
