Tuesday Tip: Chevrons

Hi Kaisercraft Fans, it’s Lori here today to share a quick and easy technique that is so hot right now called “ Chevrons “. You see them all over and now you can incorporate them into your craft projects!
For this project you’ll need double sticky tape, paper, scissors and a paper cutter.

Cut 6-8 strips of base cardstock ¾ x 6” . This won’t show so feel free to use scraps. Cut around 10-12 strips of ½” designer paper.

Apply double sticky tape to the base strip and begin attaching your designer paper. You will want to angle the strip approximately 45 degrees. Once you applied your first strip the rest will easily follow. Continue till you fill up the base strip. Cut the ends and cut any base that shows.

Once you have your first strip finished you’re ready for your second set. Take the ½ strips that you cut from your first base strip, align your top strip on your second base to match up in a V as shown in the picture. Continue down to the end of the base and trim as the first strip.

Continue doing strips like this until you have your desired amount.
Line up your finished strips and glue to a cardstock base, trim up for a finished piece and add to your card, layout…or really anything. I’d love to see your creations using this technique.
