The Great Escape and Pretty Boho with Belinda Spencer

June 24, 2016

Happy Friyay Kaisercrafters!!

Belinda here today to share some projects with you featuring the gorgeous June collections ‘Just Landed’ and ‘Boho Dreams’.

Let’s get stuck straight in with my ‘Just Landed’ projects.

I absolutely love the colours in this stunning collection especially the charcoal and the lovely grey, blue.

‘Journey’ Layout by Belinda Spencer

KC June - JL - Journey 1

I altered my background paper with some Charcoal Kaisermist (one of my faves!!) and then created my own stencil using the Card Creations Planes Decorative Die. I simply die cut the planes background from a piece of cardstock and then applied texture paste over it using a spatula.

KC June - JL - Journey 4

I also die cut a piece of Midnight Glitter Cardstock to create my own cute plane embellishments.

KC June - JL - Journey 2

There are so many fabulous die cuts in the Collectables that I wanted to add as many as I could to my layout!

Kaisercraft materials: P2102 Subway | P2104 Flight Path | PP998 Paper Pad | CT857 Collectables | FL576 Wooden Flourish Pack Travel | SS314 Sticker Sheet | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | GC101 Glitter Cardstock Midnight | DD772 Decorative Die Card Creations – Planes – C6 | KM101 Kaisermist Charcoal.

Other: molding paste | date stamp | ink.

For this layout I wanted to use the Polaroids Die Cut Specialty Paper in a different way. I separated the individual polaroids and layered them together behind my photo.

KC June - JL - The Great Escape 2

Other: handmade paper | chipboard.

Next up I have my projects featuring the oh so stunning Boho Dreams collection.

This collection is so pretty with lots of lovely flowers perfect for fussy cutting as well as gorgeous dream catchers which are so popular right now.

‘Picture Perfect’ Layout by Belinda Spencer

KC June - BD - Picture Perfect 1

I was so excited to play with this range as I knew I had the cutest photo of my darling daughter so perfect for this range. She loved her new hat so much back then that she wouldn’t stop posing for me so lucky for me I got to take lots of cute photos!

KC June - BD - Picture Perfect 2

I altered the background on this layout by first applying some stamps from the Clear Stamps set using clear embossing ink. I then heat set with a fine white detail embossing powder. Next I applied Kaisermists in Orange and Red, spritzed with water and blotted away the excess with paper towel.

KC June - BD - Picture Perfect 4

It’s kind of rare for me to use many flowers on a layout but when the Coral Paper Blooms co-ordinate so perfectly, how could I not? :-)

Kaisercraft materials: PP999 Paper Pad | P2109 Wild | P2112 Daydreamer | P2114 Adventurer | P2113 Bohemian | SS315 Sticker Sheet | CT858 Collectables | CS266 Clear Stamps | CD101 Kaisercard Coconut | EM431 Polaroid Cut Outs | F662 Paper Blooms Coral | F667 Mini Paper Blooms Coral | KM108 Kaisermist Orange | KM109 Kaisermist Red.

Next, I thought I would give you a more up close and personal look at my project for the June Challenge.

‘Kaiser Kraft Exchange’ Pocket Letter

KC June Challenge - BD - Pocket Letter 1

I had so much fun creating this pocket letter for my recipient. I hope it has arrived at it’s new home safe and sound. It had a long way to go. All the way to Singapore (hint hint).

How cute is this custom made arrow? I used the arrow from the Icons Decorative Die set and cut it from Champagne Glitter Cardstock. I then fussy cut three feathers from the Boho Dreams Paper Pad and glued them on to the end of the arrow. To finish, I wrapped a little kitchen twine around to hide the ends of the feathers. Easy! Why not try making your own cute little arrows using this collection?

KC June Challenge - BD - Pocket Letter 6

A cute little glassine envelope containing some glitter cardstock die cuts and sequins for my recipient to pretty up her own projects. I have wrapped a length of metallic gold twine around the envelope to be used also.

The Lucky Dip DIY Mini Pegs are a favourite little embellishment of mine. I just love them and they add the cutest touch to pocket letters, project life pockets or cards.

Finally a little good advice. :-)

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed making this pocket letter and participating in the Kaiser Kraft Exchange. I love the idea of someone being happily surprised when they receive their snail mail. Make sure you keep an eye out for details of the next one! For now I am eagerly awaiting mine to arrive! I hope it arrives soon. The suspense is killing me. LOL

Thankyou so much for stopping by to check out my projects today. I do hope I have managed to inspire you to get busy with your own beautiful creations.

I can’t find the two girls—are they stamps, on paper, die cuts? They are gorgeous, and I’m hoping that they are dies because I would like to decorate them differently each time I use them. Thank you.
