So what do you think of the two new April releases?
Gorgeous right. Well today I am here with a layout using the Tea at Elsie’s collection. I love it’s soft tones and lovely prints, it makes me feel all warm and relaxed.
“With each step” by Renee Ludlow – Tea at Elsie’s papers, die cut elements, colour rub-ons, black rub-ons, clear stamps, ink (brown and moss), 6×6 paper pad, Alpha stickers (cream), chipboard alphabet #2, wood flourishes (curls), paper flowers (snow).
There are a lot of layers in this layout. This is easily achieved by using Kaisercraft foam dots. Another way is by tucking embellishments behind photos and in between paper. The photo has been raised with foam dots, and then the wood flourish has been slightly tucked underneath it to give a sense of depth. Along the right edge I have used a stamp from the clear stamp set, I then overlaid this with a die-cut element and some journalling, again giving a more layered feel. Machine stitching around the photos gives them a border and brings them into focus so that they aren’t lost in all those layers.
And here is a layout by Tanya of her precious little bundle.
Tanya says – I decided to scrap this beautiful photo I took of my baby when he was 6 days old in his daddy’s arms. I converted the photo to black and white and added a soft focus border. For my doily flower, I stamped one of the clear stamps onto three different patterned papers, cut out each section of the stamp and then scrunched and unscrunched each layer for dimension, before sticking them together.
Absolutely gorgeous Tanya!!
So what Tea at Elsie’s creations have you made? We would love to see them.
