It’s Renee Aslette, here to share with you a Tutorial on how to use stamping and layers to add dimension to your layout.
Today, I will be using the fabulous new range released this month called Mint Wishes.
This collection excites me in so many ways. It is not your traditional Christmas palette. But who doesn’t love mint?
The P2401 Cabin patterned paper is what I am using for my background. It is such a classic sheet using wood paneling, so much can be done with this page alone.
I start by using a bowl to draw a circle in the top centre of the layout. This is going to allow me to have some guidelines for my wreath that will appear over the photo that I use.
I do the same to the photo, that will sit perfectly in the same circle.
I have created a Video Tutorial below to show you all of the steps I made to put this layout together.
With the CS310 Mint Wishes Clear Stamp Set, I put the two leaves onto the acrylic block, then use the IP719 Black Ink Pad stamping around the circle.
It is then time to layer a combination of DD803 Die Cut – Layered Fir Tree and the CT891 Collectables, I raise some of these pieces using foam dots, and then the remaining pieces are glued.
I finish off by adding the pine trees sticker from SS348 – Sticker Sheet, along the bottom of the layout.
As an extra I cut some logs out of the PP1027 Paper Pad.
As you can see from this close up, you can still very much see the stamping in the background.
I created the title with a combination of the Collectables word “Love” and the Sticker Sheet.
