Donna Espiritu Gypsy Rose Mixed Media Scrapbooking layout Tutorials

“You are good for my soul” Gypsy Rose Layout

July 10, 2018

Hello, lovelies! I hope you’re all having a great day! It’s Donna here with a scrapbook layout using one of the newest collections this month, Gypsy Rose.

Here is what I came up with

I started with a blank white cardstock, cutting an inch off of two sides.

Then I mixed brown and pink watercolors and splattered some on the cardstock. If you flick the brush a bit closer to the surface, it will create small splatters. So if you flick the brush farther, it will create bigger splatters.

I let the watercolor splatters stay for a while, letting it seep through the cardstock, before using a piece of plastic to spread and flatten the splatters. I also used a piece of tissue to get some of the water so the colors won’t be too bright. I just want a hint of watercolor on the background. After this has dried, I mounted the cardstock on a patterned paper.

I used this beautiful Decorative Die, Crochet Doilie, to cut a bronze glitter cardstock. I started off with this to decorate/embellish the layout.

Mounting it with a foam tape, I placed it like so and then added an array of embellishments below it to mimic a dream catcher.
I used both stickers and die cuts from the Collectables pack. Some were mounted using foam tapes for dimension and some were simply glued on top or under a piece of another embellishment.

It really is quite simple and easy!

Here are more close up shots of the finished layout

”Art Foam Flowers and Hoop” Video Tutorials, with Rikki Graziani

May 22, 2018

Good morning how are you all? Rikki here with two, yes I said two videos for you this Tuesday.

The first video is all about making flowers with the NEW Kaisercraft Art Foam !!! This product is amazing and lots of fun to play with!!!

The second video is showing you how to create a decorative hoop using the Art Foam Flowers you just created, I have also teamed this up with one of this months new collection – Stargazer.

Kaisercraft Products: Stargazer Collection: P2537 Orbit | P2540 Cosmic | CT937 Collectables |SF901 White Art Foam | SF916 Navy Art Foam | SB704 Dark Blue Rhinestones | IP726 Island Ink Pad

Other: Tim Holtz Distress Crayon | Mylar Flakes | Embossing Powder | Embossing Ink

The first showing you how to use the new Kaisercraft Dies and our New Art Foam to make your own stunning flowers !!!!

The second video is how to make this beyond the page hoop with the new Kaisercraft Stargazer Collection…..

By making your embossing powder thick you can run it like paint also you can add things into it and they will stick……. Like these Mylar Flakes.

Its easy to hand colour and custom your flowers to what ever you need, you can use any medium: ink, watercolour crayons, mist. The possibilities are endless.

I just use a baby wipe to apply the colour…. Why? I love the softer effect it gives to you.

Dont forget to add other elements like pattern paper leaves into your flower clusters…..

Another way to customize your flowers is by adding things to the centers, also mix and match your dies to get different flowers.

I hope I have inspired you….

Till next time have a creative day.

Tag mini album tutorial by Tatiana Yemelyanenko

May 15, 2018

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Tatiana is here with you today and I have a new video tutorial for you. This time I have created a tag mini album. I chose to use Spring themed photographs and I think that the new Memory Lane collection is ideal for this project.

For my project I used 6 1/2 ” paper set and combined it with silver glitter cardstock. All frames have been cut using a ruler and craft knife.

I covered the wooden flourishes with silver embossing powder.

For adding a touch of bling to my project I used rhinestones, sequins and glitter.

Pages featuring photographs have been embellished with transparent stickers and rhinestones.

Other: Glitter, Sequins, White Mist, Sparklets, Embossing Powder

Below is a video tutorial featuring this project.

I hope you enjoyed my project and tutorial.

Bye!

Donna Espiritu Pen and Ink Scrapbooking layout Specialty Papers Tutorials

“Beautiful” Pen & Ink Layout by Donna Espiritu

April 24, 2018

Hello, everyone!
It’s Donna here with you today sharing a scrapbooking layout tutorial using the Pen and Ink collection. I’ve debated between making a card and layout. Of course, the layout won!

So, let’s start with the short step-by-step tutorial:

  1. I started with a white cardstock as the base. I will be trimming an inch off of this white cardstock later as you will see in the next steps. I mounted my photos with some foam tape for a bit of height.

2. To add texture and a bit of color, I used a mixture of black, brown and white metallic mists. I kept on adding white glimmer mist until it mixed beautifully with the brown and black mists. Using a heat tool, I dried the splatters before adding modeling paste with a spatula and stencil.

3. I placed a doily underneath the photo before adhering with glue.

4. I fussy cut a lot of images from one of the Pen & Ink specialty paper. I love how vibrant the black images are against the soft sepia tones of the papers in the collection.

5. As mentioned earlier, I trimmed an inch off the white cardstock. Then, I adhered it on the Lacey patterned paper.

6. I started embellishing after this with the Collectables and the rest of the fussy cut images from the specialty paper, Antiques.

7. For the final touch, I scattered black rhinestones following the diagonal flow of the page design.

Here are more detailed shots of the finished layout

I tucked in some wood flourishes and left them as is for a bit of color contrast.

I mounted some of the ephemera pieces with foam tape for dimension.

That’s all for now. I hope you liked my project! Do leave a comment if you have any questions regarding today’s project.

Thank you so much for dropping by and see you with a new project in a few days.

Happy crafting,

Donna
