Card Making P.S I Love You Tutorials

Accordion album card with gift drawer – a tutorial by Kirsten Hyde

December 20, 2016

We are getting closer to Christmas and today, I am showing a little card with a small accordion album and little drawer with space for a little gift. This a super “last minute present”, or it could be used as a mothers day card/present or a valentine present. The card has been made with the fantastic PS I Love You collection- I just love this collection. It has a fantastic set of patterns, quotes and it has a wonderful set of pink and gray colours.

The card is only 11cm x 10cm x 2cm. The card has been decorated with wooden icons, flowers, quotes and collectables.

I have used a ribbon to “lock” the card.

Inside the card, I have left space for a photo.

The accordion album can be opened and is filled with quotes and space for photos.

The drawer fits inside the drawer box.

Glue the drawer box inside on the back of the cover of the card. Center it at the back side. (If you would like to use a panel inside the card, fix the panel before you glue the box to the base).

Collect all the accordion album pages. The pages should be scored and be left with a 1cm margin on each side. Glue on every other margin, as shown above.

Baby mini-album tutorial by Julia Akinina + Video

November 15, 2016

Hello, dear friends!

Today Julia is here and I’m happy to share with you my video-tutorial. I love to create quick and easy projects, so I think this Baby album is a good idea for quick peesent. It didn’t takes e a lot of time to create it, and I looove the result! It’s lovely cute album with many pockets and lots of details. I hope you’ll be inspired by this baby girl album and my video helps you to create something beautiful!

The dimensions of the album are 12cm x 12 cm for the inner pages, and 12,5cm x 12,5cm for the cover. I used paper only from the 6×6 Paper Pad, so I have all my 12×12 sheets for the other projects. To decorate the pages I used cards from the paper pad, word-stickers from the sticker sheet, collectables pack, and the flourish pack. To create the Title on the cover I glued 3 die cuts, so it became more dimentional.

And here is the video of this cute little Baby mini-album ( first 1:10 of the video) and step-by-step tutorial!

That’s all, I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any questions considered the creative process feel free to ask it in the comment.

Thank you

Layouts Papercraft Terhi Koskinen Tutorials

‘OOPS’ scrapbook layout by Terhi Koskinen

September 16, 2016

Hello Kaisercraft fans!

Terhi Koskinen here sharing my latest creation with brand new ‘Frosted’ collection, and showing you the coolest title ever.
K_SEP_OOPS (1)

Coolest and the most interesting title (at least in my opinion) can be made with a simple recipe: Paper, stencil, needle and thread. If you want to try out doing the same as I did, here’s a simple step-by-step tutorial for you:

  1. First draw the title through a stencil to the backside of the paper. Remember to keep your letter mirrored.
  2. Then by using a thin needle, make little holes to the edges of the letters.
  3. Last, add thread all way over, and cut the title out.

Making this was easy and I love the dimentional look of the finished letters!

K_SEP_OOPS (2)

As much as I love trying out new techniques like this easy hand sticthed title, I love capturing special moments. Actually, memorykeeping is what keeps me scrapbooking years after years. Our albums are much more than just happy birthdays and smiling with Santa Claus – in addition to first mentioned, I want our albums to look like our life. There are happy moments, there is everyday life, there is running to gorcery store to getting milk, and there is falling with ice skates when learning how to go forward. There is our life, in good and in bad.

K_SEP_OOPS (3)

This photograph was taken couple years ago, and I wish I could add the sound of laugh to it! Learning skating can be tricky, but also so much fun, especially when the younger one had heard about cool falling tips. She wanted to make sure she can really fall with good technique before skating quickly.

K_SEP_OOPS (7)

‘Frosted’ collection was the best choice for this winter layout, and I just love how the dark brown, whites, and different shades of blues are working together perfectly.

I hope you feel inspired!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Terhi xx
