Beautiful – Layout and Video Tutorial by Rikki Graziani

June 19, 2017

Good Morning how are you all? Rikki here today with my monthly share and a video tutorial as well, using the stunning new Kaisercraft Daydreamer.

Today I am sharing a little bit of mixed media focusing on using your stamps, if your anything like me I have a lot of stamps but always forget to use them in my layouts.

Kaisercraft Products: Daydreamer Collection: SS341 Sticker Sheet | PP1022 Paper Pad | CS303 Clear Stamps | CT884 Collectables | KM111 White | KM107 Peach |EF267 Moon & Stars Embossing Folder |IT016 Speckles Mini Template |CS161 Honeycomb Texture Stamp | CS292 Fading Dots Texture Stamp | CS878 Sketchy Texture Stamp | CS753 Bubble Texture Stamp |CS150 Triangles Texture Stamp | Other: Stanzon Ink |Heidi Swapp Ink | White Cardstock| Texture Paste

The Kasiercraft Daydreamer CS303 Clear Stamps have the best tiny words- you can separate them for individual use or keep them together like I have done to work them into your background.

Dont be afraid to mix and match your texture stamps !!! I dont mount them to an acrylic block as I want them not to be a perfect image this allows me to roll the stamp as I add it to the background, leaving an image that can be blended with other stamps.

Dont forget to add Foam tape to your layers and even your CT884 Collectables…..

Heres the video tutorial:

I hope I have inspired you to get your stamps out and get creative with them, remember if you have any questions ask away in the comments below or if you would like to see me do something I would love some suggestion and you never know you might see your suggestion next month!!!

Till next time have a creative day.

The right amount of sweetness

March 30, 2011

Trudi, Kerryn and Lesley here with our layout shares created with the new Nan’s Favourite Collection.

Trudi : This collection has just the right amount of sweetness for my liking and it reminds me of  happy days gone by.

Layout ‘Sweetness” by Trudi Harrison

Materials Used: Nan’s Favourites Patterned Papers Shortbread P610, Apple Pie P611, Cherry Tart P612, Marmalade P613, Paper Pad P836, Printed Chipboard CB121; English Rose Clear Stamps CS768; Wood Flourishes –  Hanging Plaque FL334, Funky Butterflies FL342; B/W Rub-ons Inner Self RB907; Flutterby – Bubblegum EM962; Pearl Chocolate Flourishes – Elegant PL513 & Elegant PL509; Mini Alpha Stickers MA503.  Other: Border Punch, Quickutz Die, Flower Punches, Computer Font, Shimmer Mist,  Dimensional Magic, Brown Ink

To create the stamped rose blooms,  I have revisited the English Rose Clear Stamps. The rose image  has been stamped numerous times on the reverse sides of Nan’s Favourites patterned papers Shortbread P610 and Cherry Tart P612.  The images were then cut out and then arranged and layered under and around the photo.  To add a little dimension, attach some of the images with foam dots or tape.

I created my hand cut ‘sweetness’ title with the help of my computer and an enlarged font.  I printed it onto cardstock and then cut it out.  To add some shine, Dimensional Magic was applied to the letters.  The title has been combined with mini alpha stickers and the sentiment is one from the new ‘Inner Self’ rub-ons.

Kerryn : The Nans Favourites collection was just the recipe I needed for photos I had taken of my children while they were decorating my daughters 5th birthday cake.  The photos aren’t the greatest but I love that it captures them working together.

Did you know that each Kaisercraft collection comes with a fantastic set of stamps?  I must admit I don’t use them nearly enough but for this layout it was just what I was after.  I have made my own patterned paper by stamping the cherries repeatedly on the reverse side of the Marmalade paper (P613).  By using a similar coloured ink to the paper I have added depth to the paper without it taking over.  I wanted it to enhance the page not become the focal point.

The mini alphas are perfect when it comes to adding journalling to your layout.  If you have alot of journalling it can take a little bit of time, but it is worth it.  I have added rows of stitching for extra definition.

“Making a grub of it” by Kerryn Lawson

Products Used :  Nans Favourites patterned paper – Apple Pie (P611), Marmalade (P613), Cherry Tart (P612), Lemon Slice (P615), Nans Favourites Paper Pad (PP836), Nans favourites Diecut elements (DC333), Nans Favourites – Printed Chipboard (CB121), Nans Favourites Clear Stamps (CS770), Paper Blooms – Honey (F629), Pearls – Teal (SB783), Alpha Stickers – Avocado (AS218), Mini Alpha Stickers – White & Chocolate (MA504), Tiny alpha stickers – white (MA509), Ink – Sandstone (IP710).

Other Products Used : Punches, buttons, mini alpha stickers.

Lesley here: Nan’s Favourites is a fabulous collection. I love the muted colours and all those awesome graphics and sayings. I created a simple but effective layout using just the Journal Tags, Printed Chipboard and Die Cut Elements. I have used the Journal Tags as my patterned paper to create a background for my photo. I printed my journaling onto transparency as I wanted the background to show through. I adhered the transparency using white paint which also highlights the key part of my journaling. I punched a hole in the chipboard elements and hung them with string around the tab. I used staples to adhere certain elements to my layout as well.

“Decorate” by Lesley Cooper

Products Used :  Nan’s Favourites Journal Tags (JT603); Die Cut Elements (DC333); Printed Chipboard (CB121); Mini Alpha Stickers (MA503); Alpha Stickers (AS225); Other: string, stazon, white paint, transparency, staples

Kaisercraft’s New Christmas collection – ’tis the season

August 30, 2010

Hi there, it´s Christy, Camilla and Monika here to inspire you. As you can see, Christmas came early to us this year, and it wasn’t difficult at all to create with this beautiful new collection from Kaisercraft. Don´t you just love Christmas?

Monika: I am totally in love with this line and the Reindeer Specialty paper is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. That is why I really tried hard to make a layout that is simple enough to show of the beauty of this paper. I’m not sure I have quite succeeded on the simplicity but less isn´t always more ;) .

Items used on Monikas layout:
Reindeer Specialty paper  PS116, Paper pad PP830, Printed Chipboard CB115, Grosgrain ribbon R1607, Paper flowers Taupe F603, Alpha stickers Cream MA510, Small Flourish Tree (Height 12cm) FL312, Clear Stamps CS751, Ink pad IP708 Brown, Lace EM927 Cream

Christy: Making Christmas goodies is a yearly tradition in my family.  We get together to make excessive amounts of sweets and things to share with those we love, and of course we have to eat the flops, right!?!  My son got in on the action this past Christmas.  He wasn’t the cleanest cook in the kitchen, but memories are more far more important than messes!

Patterned Paper:  Be Merry P559 & p560
Chipboard:  Be Merry CB114
Alphabet Stickers:  Kaisercraft AS221 White, MA508 Cherry
Fiber:  Shabby Green Door

Camilla: ‘Tis the Season is my absolutely favourite Christmas collection this year. It has those traditional Christmas colours but has also incorporated some nontradition, like orange. The colours are so soft and lovely. The photo is an old one of my children. The Christmas joy is shining through.

Layout ”Nissar” – Camilla Ekman: ’Tis the season papers: :Die Cut Elements (DC326); Pearls – red (SB795); Kaiser Colour – metallic gold (KC050); Alpha Chipboard (CB107)

Stamping Sunday with Konstruct and Le Chateau

June 27, 2010

One of my all time favorite add-ons to the paper collections that KaiserCraft comes out with every month is the stamp sets. Besides being made of the highest quality materials available in the industry, they are simply fun to use!!! Every time I receive product from KaiserCraft, I quickly flip through the papers to get an idea of the patterns and then I automatically dig through the rest of box to find the matching stamps. I just LUV them!

So it is only fitting that as my very last blog post as a member of the KaiserCraft DT, I leave you with some quick and easy stamped cards (which are my favorite projects to make).

For the card below, I used the fabulous Le Chateau collection. For the stamped image, I used brown ink for stamping, and then outlined the image with a dark brown pen. This is one of my fave techniques to add dimension to any stamped image. I then filled in the outlined areas with a lighter, glittery brown gel pen. This gives the image added dimension and shine. Of course, as glitter does not show up well in photographs, you will just have to take my word for it. :) I also added a doily that I lightly inked with blue ink, crumpled and layered paper flowers, and a tiny tag. The organza ribbon gives the entire card a bit of elegance and softness.

“For You” card by Nancy Burke. Materials used: Le Chateau paper collection, 6×6 paper pad (PP824), clear stamps (CS745), ink (IP708, IP716), organza ribbon (RI613) , paper flowers (F602, F603) . Other: flower center, paper doily, paper lace trim, string.

For the next card, I used the fun and funky Konstrukt collection. I wanted to do a “tone-on-tone” stamping technique, so I used green ink to stamp my ruler image (bottom of card) onto green paper. So many times I find myself grabbing my black and brown inks, but then I remember there is a whole  rainbow of possibilities available by using other colors of ink! The tone-on-tone stamping technique is one of my faves!

“Thank You” card by Nancy Burke. Materials used: Konstruct paper collection, 6×6 paper pad (PP823), die cuts (DC319), clear stamps (CS744), inks (IP715, IP718), rhinestones (SB715), rub-ons (RB812). Other: sewing machine, thread, die cut flower.

So get out those fun KaiserCraft stamps and inks and start making your own fabulous card creations!
