Summer Breeze – mini albums

December 15, 2010

The bright and beachy Seaside collection makes me long for summer, even more so at the moment since it is Winter in Sweden and there’s a lot of snow. But I grabbed some photos from our vacation in early August and made a fun mini album to remember the warmer days!

“Västkusten” by Camilla Ekman: Long Ticket Album (SB2060); Papers – Seaside collection: Coastline (P595), Sea Breeze (P594); Die Cut Elements – Seaside (DC330); Rubons – Seaside (RB886); Embellishment Pack – Seaside (EM941); Journal Tags – Seaside (JT610); Embellishment Pack – Seaside (EM942); Island Lagoon Flourish (RS459); Crochet Doilie (Em946); Flowers – snow (F601); Flowers – taupe (F603); Flowers – baby blue (F614); Pearls – yellow (SB797); Rhinestones – Island Lagoon (RS402); Pearls – Copper (SB790); Grosgain Ribbon – ocean (RI609); Clear Stamps – Dated (CS724); Album Rings – Dark Brown (M019)

Other: thickers

Kirsty has also created a quick and easy album for her children to look through, using a single sheet of carstock and the gorgeous summery Seaside collection!

“The photos in the album were taken at the last beach holiday we had with my mum, so they are especially precious, and the children are forever asking to look through them. Now they have a special little album that they can flick through whenever they like :)”

“Holiday” Mini Album by Kirsty Piper: Seaside- Coastline (P595), 6′ Paper Pad (PP834), Embellishment Pack Canvas Tags(EM942), Embellishment Pack Tickets (EM941), Rub ons Black(RB885), Chipboard Alphabet #1(CB107)

The pages inside the album are of all different shapes and sizes, encouraging the reader to turn to the next page by giving them a tantalizing glimpse of what comes next.

One of the pages in the little album is actually an envelope, which allows for extra photographs, or in this case, some hidden journaling.

Kirsty says “I just love this collection, it is absolutely perfect for scrapping precious summer memories…and my all time favourite feature of this collection? The fact that the Escape Patterned Paper(P593) is made up using some gorgeous Aussie beach names!”

A Mini and a Notebook with Lush

July 19, 2010

Happy Monday!

Camilla and LG here with some BTP project to share with you all.

The Lush collection has fantastic colours and patterns. As soon as I saw it, I decided to make a mini-album with the papers and all the embellishments that complements the collection. The Long Tabbed Album has these fun tabs which gives the album an interesting shape. Have you noticed that Kaisercraft has a lot of clear stamps? I got an idea for my mini from them. If you look at the cover of my mini, you can see that I have used a stamp from the Memory boxes set. It says: “4 reasons you are totally unique”. I just had to make a mini about my boy!

BTP “Unik” – Camilla Ekman: Long Tabbed Journal (SB2016);Lush papers: Cherry Blossom (P532), Bamboo (P536), Bonzai (P535), Japonica (P534), Maple (P537); clearstamp – grid (CS755); clearstamps – Memoryboxes (CS703); mini alphas – black & white (MA501); embellishment pack – Lush (EM919); printed chipboard – Lush (CB110); 6”paperpad (PP825); rubons (RB867); grosgrain ribbon – ocean (RI609); organza ribbon – red (RI616); wood flourishes – birds (FL304); alpha stickers – powder blue (AS219); flowers – baby blue (F614); rhinestones – orange (SB710)

Using the same Long Tabbed Journal, LG made this refillable notebook. Here’s what she has to say:

“I have been scrapbooking for over a year now and I humbly admit that BTP’s is not something I do that often but who can’t resist Kaisercraft’s gorgeous BTPs. The Long Journal Tabbed is one of my favorites. The shape and the tabs inspired me to create a notebook for myself. The papers inside can be refilled because I have used an album ring.”

BTP “Notes” – LG Belarmino: Long Tabbed Journal (SB2016), Kaisercraft Lush Paper Collection, Lush Collection Printed Chipboard (CB110), Lush Collection Colour Rub ons (RB868) and Black&White Rub ons (RB867), Lush Collection Clear Stamp (CS746), Kaisercraft Wood Flourishes Birds (FL304) and Leaves (FL301), Kaisercraft Alpha Sticker (Brown and Tangerine), Grosgrain Ribbons (RI609 and RI606), Organza Ribbon (RI616), Rhinestones (SB710)

I used my Watercolor Pencils to color some parts  of the Black & White Rub ons and the wooden flourishes

Le Chateau – Home Decor-BTP clock and a layout

June 24, 2010

Isn’t the Le Chateau collection just soooo fabulous?! I just love the rich textures and patterns in this line. Definitely a fave of mine for home decor projects. The contrast of the light blue with the black is a surprisingly different color combo, but with the addition of the rich golds to tie it all together, it just creates such a warm, homey feel, which I simply LOVE. I know I say this every time KaiserCraft comes out with a new collection, but this is my all-time fave collection! No, really!

So of course, it was an easy decision to use the Le Chateau collection for my BTP clock. And this clock is especially fun, with all the little windows to fill in with bits, baubles, photos, and other treasures. And BTW, this looks absolutely FAB hanging on my wall if I do say so myself. :)

“Le Chateau BTP clock” by Nancy Burke. Le Chateau collection papers, 6×6 paper pad, stamps, BTP clock, alpha stickers, wood flourishes, die cut elements, pearls, paper flowers, embellishment pack, black and brown ink, embossing powder, ribbon.

And next up we have a simple design for a layout by Fran. Here’s what she says

“I love this photo of my Mum and my son reading together and knew I was a very sedate, calm sort of layout. The fresh white in the Le Chateau is a big favourite of mine, with the other colours of the collection looking so cute against it – the black and the pale blue giving the exact look I was after. And I must mention how much I LOVE the new wood flourishes – I think I’ve used nearly 3 complete packets so far!

And just for a little added interest to the page, I’ve applied a rub-on from the Le Chateau Collection and added some rhinestones to add some ‘sweetness’ to it. It is hard to tell in the top photo, so I’ve given you a close up.”

Time with Nana LO by Fran Tynan using Le Chateau papers, die-cuts & rub-ons, kaisercraft black alphabet stickers, cream alphabet stickers, rhinestones, “Frames” wood flourish

Hey Birdie multi photo layout

June 20, 2010

The colours of the Hey Birdie range makes me think of girly layouts…and I just knew that these photos of my daughter would work perfectly with this range!

Sweeter than sweet – Elizna Parsons : Hey Birdie papers, Kaisercraft pearl strips, Rhinestones, 6 x 6 paper pad, Alpha Stickers, Chipboard Lettering, Mini alpha stickers

I used P512 Skedaddle paper as my background and layered more Hey Birdie papers on top. I then added the photo frames and all the little embellishments….some I have cut out from the paper and others are from the Hey Birdie 6 x 6 paper pad. I added lots of bling and pearls, too!

For the title I have used both Kaisercraft Alpha Stickers and matching chipboard letters, as well as the Kaisercraft mini alpha stickers.

A few close-ups of details on this layout:

I must confess…I do not enjoy cutting out lots of little bitties, but for this page it worked so well! I might just do it again…{smile}!
