“A True Friend” Frame by:  Debbie Marcinkiewicz

Debbie Says:
“True friends are gifts from God and should be cherished above all else!  I made this precious framed project for my bestie to show her how much I appreciate her friendship … she’s always there for me no matter what — in good times and in bad.  That’s a true testiment of a Cherished Friend!  I adore the Bonjour Collection and I know that my friend will be as smitten with this frame as I am!”

“Bonjour Letter Rack” by Vicki Morris

, Kaisercolour – Antique White, Kaisercraft – Bonjour – Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Bonjour – Madeline, Kaisercraft – Bonjour – Provence, Kaisercraft – Bonjour – Brown Foil, Kaisercraft – Bonjour – Sticker Sheet- Alpha, Kaisercraft – Lace Pack – White, Kaisercraft – Pearl Strips(Champagne and Latte), Kaisercraft – Paper Blooms – Coconut, Buttercream and Olive.

“Calendar” by Michelle Frisby

Materials used :
PP853 paper pad, sticker sheet, PL507 pearl flourish, F632 sage blooms, F627 coconut blooms, pink blooms, RS426 jewels – Bonjour, JT628 journal tag, EM930 pearl brad, F658 mini blooms dusty pink, F648 mini blooms sea breeze.

Extras : baubles, peg, seam binding, punch, flat canvas, muslin, calendar from Crafty Secrets, crackle paint

Michelle says:
“I wanted to be able to look at this gorgeous collection from Kaisercraft, day in and day out and not have it tucked away somewhere.  I knew that I wanted to make a calendar for the new year.  And so I decided to whip up a calendar using the Bonjour collection.

I’ve used a thin flat canvas and I’ve just started to play – I’ve used lots of Modge Podge, I’ve layered, I’ve inked, I’ve distressed and I’ve just kept adding.  My canvas is sitting on an easel which I’ve painted using distress crackle paint.

I printed off the calendar from Crafty Secrets and I’ve cut out each month and will change the month – the peg is adhered to my canvas, not the calendar month itself and it can quite easily slip out from behind the birds – the birds are from the sticker sheet, but I’ve backed them on paper and lifted them to give a little more dimension.

I’ve never been to Paris.  I dream of going to Paris, it’s definitely on my bucket list and I will get there … one day, just not sure when.  And as a reminder, I’ve added a cut out of the Eiffel Tower to the left of my calendar.

Until I do, I can only but dream!!!  One day!!!!

Happy creating”.

Creative Card: Miss Nelly

August 18, 2011

Happy Thursday fellow designers!

Today we have Debbie Marcinkiewicz and Lori Leng showing us how to make these ever-so-cute  cards using the Miss Nelly Collection!

Debbie says:

“Hello friends, I am tickled {pink} you stopped by the Kaisercraft Blog today for a visit!  I’m going to give you a quick and fun tutorial today on how to make some Creative Tea Pot cards – perfectly suited for your next tea party invitation!!  Enjoy!”

‘Time For Tea’ by:  Debbie Marcinkiewicz

Materials Used:Miss Nelly Collection – Paper Pad (PP840), Jewels – Pearls & Rhinestones (RS422);
Mini Paper Blooms –Dusty Pink (F658); Mini Alpha Stickers – White & Black (MA502).

Other:  seam binding, paper doilie, lace trim, trinket pin, buttons, silk flowers, glitter paper.

“First, cut out a template of a tea pot.  For mine, I used my circuit machine with the A Child’s Year cartridge, but if you don’t have a cutting machine, you can free hand draw a template or download one from the internet.”

“Fold your tea pot template in half to create a card.  We’re going to decorate the fronts and the tea party invitation text will go inside the cards.”

“To create a shabby and time-worn look, lightly ink all the edges of the tea pots with some twill craft paint”

“Next comes the magic … gather up some treasures from your supply baskets and decorate as desired!”

“These are the sweetest little tea pot confections that your family and friends will surely appreciate receiving!
How about displaying one or a couple of them on a shelf in your kitchen or inside an antique China hutch?”

“I try to host a sit down fancy tea party for my close friends at least once per year!  These will be this year’s edition of the tea party invitation!!

It’s great fun to sit and sip tea with girlfriends … and making these adorable little tea pot invitation cards was as much fun as receiving them will be for my friends.”

”  A Child ” by:  Lori Williams Leng

HI it’s Lori here and today I created this adorable wall plaque using the Little Toot collection.  This project came together so quickly with the help of all the coordinating embellishments.  Simple but adorable.  I made this to go on my boys wall in their room but wouldn’t it be great for a shower gift or birthday present.

KaiserCraft Materials: Small Photo Display, SB2110 Putt P688, Bumper P692, Toot Chipboard CB130, Mountain Foam T302m

Svetlana here. I made this “warning sign” to hang it on the door of my two son’s play-room.

“Caution! Boys at Play” Frame by: Svetlana Austin

Kaisercraft Materials: Small Photo Display / SB2110; Little Toot Collection: Paper – Bumper / P692, Sticker Sheet / SS105, Paper Pad / PP846, Rub Ons / RB923, Printed Chipboard / CB129; rub on “boys”.

Other: craft paint, pen, wheels from a toy car.

I used little wheels from an old toy car to give a little bit more dimension to my project. I am also thinking that it could be a great idea to change the picture in this frame once in while to refresh the look.

We hope that you enjoyed this week projects!

It is all for now from Debbie, Lori, Genevieve and Svetlana!

Happy scrapping from all of us!
