Tuesday Tip – 3D Lollipop flowers

July 13, 2010

I love making these fabulous lollypop flowers, they are a great inexpensive embellishment, that you can make yourself, to match your layout perfectly.

1. I start by cutting 3 or 4 circles( depending on the size of flower that you want) cut each circle a little smaller than the last. Tip: I use a fiskars circle template, but you could use any circle template, or even draw them freehand.

2. Once they are cut out, I like to distress the edges of the circles. I use my paper distresser, but you just as easily use a pair of scissors. I also crease and “rough up” the circles to make them look a little more like the petals of a flower.

3. I then use dimensional foam between the layers of the flowers, to give them a little more dimension, and then stick the layers together, from largest to smallest. I finish them off with a few Kaisercraft pearls in the centre.

Here is my layout using these flowers. They are so easy, and a lot of fun. So why not make some for your next layout.

Materials: Shaken not stirred paper collection, die cut elements, black pearls.
