Trio Hello Betty Cards by Jowilna Nolte

For my trio of cards, I explored several creative ways of using this range and all its elements.

From my Paper Pad, I used the embossed paper and inked it using a combination of pink and red ink to match the pink of the roses.

For this card, I used the stamp set. I stamped the sewn circle and then added some watercolour paint to the center and background.
My decorative elements consist out of a cut out doily from the previous card, a butterfly and a sentiment with some rhinestones.

Here I used the ruler paper from the Paper Pad and added stickers to dress it up. A few sewn accents and a wooden flourish complete this card.

Beach Shack Do not use this category Scrapbooking layout

Beach Bliss

February 16, 2018

Hello everyone! I hope that you are well. Today I am sharing a layout that I have created using papers and embellishments from the Beach Shack Collection. There are so many components to this collection and it makes creating layouts and projects so much fun!

I limited my colour pallet for my embellishments to three tomes which helped me to achieve a cohesive look. I drew my inspiration from my photo and my background paper.

I used the rope corner decorative die and die cut it using a scrap piece of chipboard. I altered it by first coating it with a layer of gesso. Once dry, I used ink daubers and the Kaisercraft ink pads to create my embellishment. I used saffron, vintage and bark.

To create my textured background, I first applied a coat of clear gesso to my background paper. Once dry I then applied some distress spray to areas around my elements. I also used some water and a paint paintbrush to spread the colour around. I stamped my texture stamps in random spots on this blue section and then I used the ripple stencil.

Below my photo I have some more decorative embellishments. I altered some of the wooden flourishes that we released with this collection. I applied a coat of gesso to each and then used a sponge dauber and the Kaisercraft ink pads to apply colout to each element. I also inked the edges of each with the bark ink pad to add extra definition. I sprayed a piece of cheese cloth with a distress spray and added this to my cluster to add some texture.

Card Making Do not use this category Havana Nights Tutorial Tuesday

Watercolour Cards using Kaisercraft Stamps and Dies

January 30, 2018

Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great crafting week. Today I am going to share two cards that I have created using stamps, dies and papers from the Havana Nights Collection by Kaisercraft. Kaisercraft always produce wonderful stamps and dies with each collection and I wanted to share how you can use them along with some simple watercolouring into your cardmaking.

For both cards, I used the white square card pack. The dimensions for the layers I have used are

– navy mat 13cm x 13cm

– TILED (patterned paper) 12.5cm x 12.5cm

– white strip 12.5cm x 5cm

– blue strips 12.5cm x 2cm

For this card, I used four stamps and two dies. All of the colours for the watercolouring were determined by the tiles in the paper.

Simple techniques and maximum impact!

My second card has the same layout as the previous card and also includes similar elements. It uses two dies and two stamps.

As the colour palette is restricted, the elements compliment each other and work together.

Below is video tutorial demonstrating the techniques and the construction of both of these cards.
