“Kindy King” Layout by Michelle Frisby

Materials list : Tiny Woods Collection Collectables, PP862 paper pad, MA505 mini alphas cream
Extras : card stock, embroidery thread, blue paper.

Michelle says:
“I’ve had a wee play with the sketch and whilst I very rarely follow a sketch in its entirety, I hope that you can see where the sketch has influenced my layout.  For the first time in a very long time, I’ve actually created a layout without any ink or paint splatters and that doesn’t happen very often.  But as you can see, I just had to add a little hand sewing – just because I can.

Don’t forget to share your layouts with us – happy creating everyone.”

“Just Us Two” Layout by Leanne Love

Kaisercraft cardstock, These days paper pad PP863, These days Collectables CT703, These days sticker sheet SS127.
Other: Tim Holtz distress stain

As you can see Leanne has flipped the sketch horizontal to create this beautiful A4 Layout. Looking forward to seeing all your special creations that you come up with using this sketch!

Pearl Says:
“The On The Move collection is perfect to make a bright, retro-feel, year-long desk calendar. I made this desk calendar as a gift pack inside a handmade envelope as a perfect “Happy New Year” gift for a co-worker. To make it, I cut Roladex-size cards, rounded the corners, and glued on printed calendar quarters to make the desk calendar stack. I then cut an envelope based on the dimensions of the cards and created a seal with a scallop oval punched shape and various size pennants. The gift packet includes two mini wooden clothespins, when clipped to both sides, helps the desk calendar stand. It’s a simple yet effective and functional gift perfect for my coworker’s desk.”

Sweet Nothings BTP

December 23, 2011

Hello Kaisercrafties and welcome to the blog this wonderful Friday. To finish off the blog we would love to show you some gorgeous Beyond The Page products using the Sweet Nothings collection…enjoy peeking!

“Birdhouse by Cassandra Bright”

Other:  Tim Holtz Distress Stain-Walnut Stain, Tim Holtz Distress Ink-Brush Corduroy, Border Punch

 Cassandra Says:
“Bird houses and bird nests are all the rage at the moment in both altered arts and scrapbooking layouts. And with the whimsical nature of the Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings collection, I just had to decorate the gorgeous Kaisercraft Bird House that came out a few collections ago.

I have simply cut strips of paper from the Sweet Nothings collection, and used a border punch along one edge of the strips to create patterned tiling for the roof of my bird house. I have embellished the bird house by using the beautiful Collectables die cuts also from the Sweet Nothings collection. This is so cute it would make a wonderful and easy christmas present :o)”

“Mini Box” by Leanne Love

Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings: Sincerely (P770), Paper Pad (PP858), Collectables (CT703), Rub ons (RB952).  Kaisercraft other: Paint – Eggshell (KC035), Mini Paper Blooms Fairy Floss (F657), Sea Breeze(F648)

“Sweet Nothings” Tape Storage Shelf by Pearl Lui

Materials Used: Kaisercraft Sweet Nothings You & Me, Acrylic Paint in Gold, Mini Drawers
Other: Mod Podge

Pearl says:
“I love the mini drawers because it’s up to you with how you want to use it and personalize it. Perhaps you have need for all the small compartments to hold beads or small findings. For me, the foundation shelf for the mini drawers was perfect to store my rolls of tape. It works really well standing vertically or laying it horizontally. I first painted the entire piece with gold acrylic paint. I then carefully adhered all of the paper to the shelf using Mod Podge. I then clipped a medium sized binder clip to hold my mini scissors which are perfect to snip tape. Now I have the perfect mini tape storage shelf.”
