Party decor with Bombay Sunset collection

May 26, 2017

Hello!

Taiana is here with you today and this time I’d like to share party decor which I created for my daughter’s third birthday. Form my poject I used products from Bombay Sunset collection and Kaisercraft cardstock.

For the garlands I used Kaisercraft cardstock. For the big topper I used card from P2322 Party, fussy cut flowers from P2316  Daybreak and pattern cut from Kaisercraft cardstock with Silhouette cutting machine.

I also created several small toppers. Ice cream was cut by Silhouette machine from Kaisercraft cardstock. For the toppers I used fussy cut flowers and leaves, doilies cut from PS494 Indian Summer foil specialty paper. I also created embellishments using vellum, gold embossing powder and stamp set from Bombay Sunset collection.

Ice cream toppers were created from Kaisercraft cardstock.

I also created guest book using paper from PP1020 Paper Pad. Cover was embellished in the same way as toppers.

Mixed media bird house, with Kirsten Hyde

April 10, 2017

We have spring here in Norway at the moment, and this time I wanted to create a spring project with the High Tea collection. This is an altered wooden house and a candle stick, I had stored for some time. I have used the blue and white papers from the collection, together with collectables and wooden embellishments.

The bird house, has been covered with paper, and then decorated.

I used a stencil with gesso, to create some texture on the roof. Then I added strips of paper and collectables.

At the front of the house, I have added parts of a wooden embellishment, and layered it with a lace circle from the collectables. The candle stick has got a slight colour wash with light blue chalk paint.

Part of the paper has a “ripped wallpaper effect”. I enhanced this effect, with pieces of torn paper.

Kaisercraft products: High Tea – P2283 Cuppa | P2280 Tea Time | PP1017 Paper Pad | CT979 Collectables | FL598 Tea Party Flourish Pack | FL599 Be You Flourish Pack | SB713 Pearls Pearl | IT435 Botanical.

Gift box Video Tutorial by Julia Akinina

February 21, 2017

Hello! Today Julia is here with the gift box step-by-step video tutorial using the Island Escape Collection.

Kaisercraft products: P2242 Island Escape – Aloha| PP1014 Island Escape – Paper Pad | CT874 Island Escape  – Collectables | FL594 Life’s a Beach Flourish pack | SB713 Pearl Pearls | ST922 Happy Birthday

And here is the video-tutorial! I hope you will enjoy it!

My measurements for this box  are in centimeters. You can create the box with your own measurements, just look how I do it in the video: the first dedail is larger than the banknote, and for the second detail I added 0,5 centimeters to the width, and 2 x 0,5cm = 1 centimeter to the length. Don’t forget to add 1-2 millimeters to the middle detail! You need to do it for good closing and opening of the box.

And here is the result. I love this box!

I hope my tutorial will help you to create beautiful gift boxes of the different sizes!

Thank you

Julia

The dimensions of the album are 12cm x 12 cm for the inner pages, and 12,5cm x 12,5cm for the cover. I used paper only from the 6×6 Paper Pad, so I have all my 12×12 sheets for the other projects. To decorate the pages I used cards from the paper pad, word-stickers from the sticker sheet, collectables pack, and the flourish pack. To create the Title on the cover I glued 3 die cuts, so it became more dimentional.

My gramdma celebrated her 83rd birthday not long ago, so I decided to create the super speciall present for her! So I took her old vintage photo and was very inspired by “Oh La La” collection which is so beautiful and feminine. At first I decided to create the layout and put it to the frame, but I realize that it will not be enough! So I created this shadow box full of little lovely details.

I used the paper from the 6×6 paper pack as the wallpapers. Flowers from collectables pack became really good embelishement to create layers.
