Colourful cards

May 20, 2011

Good day ladies! Camilla, LG and Lesley here sharing a few cards that we made using the Chapter One collection.

Camilla: I just love the blues and greens of the Chapter One collection. Add black and white and you have such great colour combos.

Card “Grattis” – Camilla Ekman: Chapter One Paper Pad (PP843); Mini Alphas – Black & White (MA501)

Other: Flower, leaves

Card “Tack” – Camilla Ekman: Chapter One Paper Pad (PP843); Alpha Stickers – Sea Breeze (AS220); Journal Tags – Chapter One (JT619)

Other: Flower, leaves

LG: Getting tired of standard sized cards? Make it fun and tryout different sizes or even shapes! The fun thing about making your own cards is having the freedom to be creative.  Inspired by the vine-like design, I made a vertical card with a measurement of 3.5″x7″.  With this size, I was able to portray movement in my card, butterflies flying upward. Try it out!

Card by LG Belarmino: Chapter One patterned papers Motivate (P670), Paper Pad (PP843), and Coloured Rubons (RB920). Others: butterfly punches and black cardstock.

Lesley: Chapter One is such a gorgeous collection. I made a simple Mothers Day card for my mum. I also created another card using a resist technique. I stamped onto cardstock with white paint using the fabulous clear stamps from this collection. I then used distress ink to ink over the cardstock and image. When I was finished I used a damp paper towel to wipe the ink from the white paint revealing the orignal stamped image.

Monkeying around with Party Animals

May 18, 2011

Hi Lesley, Camilla and LG here with Party Animal layouts.

Lesley: This collection is so cute with all the different animals. When I saw the monkey I knew I wanted to a layout of Simon and his love of climbing. This boy will climb anything. He has no fear. I have to admit it terrifies me sometimes! At least at Clip n Climb the walls are made for climbing and there is safety harnesses.

To create the banner I stamped onto transparency and cut out around the image. I then cut out some of the diamonds from the patterned paper and cut them in half. I adhered them to the back of the transparency with some glossy accents.

Be Merry

September 3, 2010

Monika, Camilla, and Christy sharing a few layouts with you today using the Be Merry Collection.  Bright, cheery, fun is the best way to describe these papers, perfect for so many Christmas projects!

Christy:  Keeping the focus on the pictures I used some of the “B” sides of these papers taking advantage of the wonderful traditional Christmas colors we associated with this Holiday.  My little guy is such a character and watching him open his gifts this year was a blast.  He finally understands the meaning of the word “present” and his love for life is a gift in itself.

Product List:

Patterned Paper:  Be Merry P559 & p560
Chipboard:  Be Merry CB114
Alphabet Stickers:  Kaisercraft AS221 White, MA508 Cherry
Fiber:  Shabby Green Door

Camilla: The colours of Be Merry are so bright and clear. Love it! The buns in my photos are saffron buns, which are called lussekatter or lussebullar in Swedish. They are delicious. We always makes them for December 13th when we celebrate Lucia in Sweden.

Layout “Lussekatter” – Camilla Ekman: Be Merry papers: Cheer (P558), Chirpy (P559); Rubons (RB876); Mini Alpha Stickers – cherry red (MA508); Journal Tags (JT605); Alpha Stickers – red (AS224); Pearls – snow (SB794)

Other: Magnolia and Qk dies

Monika: The colors of the be Merry collection are so bright and happy which is why I chose a photo that has a bit less color. This makes the layout more harmonic and both the bright colors and the photo gets the attention. I cut out the glittery leaves from the Bliss Specialty paper and placed them behind the flowers.

Items used:
Be Merry collection: Happy P560, Glee P557, Joy P556, Delight P561, Bliss Specialty paper PS114, Chipboard CB114, Journal Tags JT605, Paper pad PP829, Paper Flowers Poppy F610, Grosgrain ribbon R1605, Lace EM926 White.

Other:  Flower

Up, up and away

July 28, 2010

Hi there, it is Christy, Lesley and Monika with Up, up and Away!

Monika:  My daughter loves to climb! I don´t know how many photos I have of her on her way up. Up, up and away seemed the perfect choice for these photos. They even have the right title.

I love to use my sewing machine on my layouts. Here I have stitched around the layout and cut between the stitches with a craft knife.  An other passion of mine, as you might noticed, is to cut the patterns from the papers. Here I used the pattern from the Clowns specialty paper and from the Moon ride paper.

Materials used: Papers: Moon ride P538, Ferris Wheel P541, Sideshow P542, Rollercoaster P543, Bumpercar P539, Clowns Specialty paper PS108, Printed Chipboard CB111, Alpha stickers A222, Mini Alpha MA503, Rhinestones Split pea RS407, Wooden Leaves FL301, Grosgrain ribbon R1607, Paper flowers Chocolate F622

Christy:  My little boy has these big brown chocolate eyes that just own this steadfast heart of mine.  Everytime he flashes me that “feel sorry for me” look those eyes just melt my heart.  I’m sure when he’s 16 and late for his curfew these eyes won’t have the same affect on me, but for now I’ll just enjoy his innocence, and those chocolate eyes.

Product List:  Up Up And Away Patterned Paper P540, Up Up And Away Rub-ons RB870, Up Up And Away Chipboard CB111,  Up Up And Away Diecuts DC322, Printed Envelopes EM920, Alpha Stickers A225, MA503 & MA504, Wood Flourish Keys FL306.

Lesley: I totally fell in love with this range too! The vintage look, the beautiful soft muted colours and the awesome graphics. The graphics made me think about getting away from it all and realising that while at the moment that is not possible, I can still have a long black and dream!

“Time for a Break” – Lesley Cooper: Up up and Away Speciality PAper (PS107), 6×6 Pad (PP826), Printed Chipboard (CB111), Diecut Elements (DC322), Rub Ons Colour (RB870), Mini Alpha Stickers Black and White (MA501), Alpha Stickers Brown (AS225)

Lush collection

July 26, 2010

This week Christy, Lesley and Monika welcome you to the Kaisercraft blog!  We’re blogging for the first time here at Kaisercraft and hope you enjoy what we have to share!

Monika:
Aren´t the Lush collection just gorgeous? It´s simply perfect for my little princess.  The other day she actually told me that when she grows up she is going to become a princess and she will rule the country. I think she has been looking a bit to much at the wedding of princess Victoria.

On this layout I have used pearl strips, they are really easy to bend to the shape you want and simple to work with.

Materials used:
Willow Die-cut PS105, Bamboo P536, Paper pad PP825, Embell. Pack EM919, Printed Chipboard CB110, Pearls PL506, Grosgrain ribbon R1601, Organza ribbon R1613, Paper flower Taupe F603, Pearl SB713, Rub ons Sugar & Spice RB805

Christy:  I was so thrilled to find that the Lush collection has some wonderful charcoal gray papers to help fill my latest obsession.  I don’t know what it is about gray that holds my fancy but they’ve been frequenting my pages lately, alot!  For some time I’ve been wanting to make a layout with a list of things I promise my son and finally I can check that off my to do list!  Enjoy!

Two of my favorite things about this layout is how the Lush rub-ons look on the black & white picture, just give it an added dimension and almost look like they were part of the original photo.  The second thing that I really enjoy is mixing my title with captial and lower case letters, really captures my eye and keeps me looking for more.  I challenge you to try one of these techniques on your next layout!

Product List:  Lush Patterned Papers P532, P533, P534, P535, P536, Lush Chipboard CB110, Lush Rub-ons RB867, Lush Diecuts DC321, Alpha Stickers A224, MA501, Clear Stamps CS758, Pearls Pewter SB791.

Lesley: I instantly fell in love with the Lush collection and the colours couldnt have been more perfect for this photo of my daughter. We were on holiday and she had been sick and miserable but she picked her self up and decided to pick ‘wishes’ for us all. So sweet!

“Heart of Gold” – Lesley Cooper: Lush Patterned Papers (PS33, PS34, PS105), Lush Journaling Tags (JT601), Lush 6×6 Pad (PP825), Lush Chipboard Button (CB110), Lush Clear Stamps (CS746), Lush Rub ons – Black and White (RB867), Alpha Stickers Cream (AS222), Mini Alphas Stickers Black and White (MA501), Grosgrain Ribbon Earth (RI607) and Monochrome (RI601), Inks Black (IP707), Antique Blue (IP716) and Sandstone (IP710)

With the cream alpha stickers, I embossed them with gold and then stamped over once they had cooled with one of the Lush Clear Stamp images. The heart has also been stamped and embossed.

To make a dandelion I used a strip of grosgrain ribbon and cut it in 3 pieces lengthwise, tied a knot in the middle and then frayed out the ribbon to give the appearance of a dandelion.

And I loved playing with this range so much that I couldn’t resist a quick and simple layout using paper and elements from the 6×6 pad. These pads are crammed full of goodness! I also used a piece of chipboad, rub ons and the clear stamps.

“Perhaps” – Lesley Cooper: Lush 6×6 Pad (PP825), Lush Chipboard (CB110), Lush Rub Ons – Black and White (RB867), Lush Clear Stamps (CS746, Alphas Stickers Black (AS226)
