Sweet Lullaby Bracket Style….

Hello!

Trudi and Kirsty here with some more ‘sweet’ projects created from the Lullaby Collection.  Once again we have given you both a ‘pink’ and a ‘blue’ option.

We have both created projects incorporating a bracket shape.  Trudi has created a layout that has incorporated the Nursery Specialty Paper Die Cut, and Kirsty has altered the ‘Bracket Frame’ to create a stunning ‘welcome to the world’ keepsake.

Trudi: Gosh this picture of my littlest girl takes me back… it is hard to believe that she was ever this small, but she was.

Here she is only a couple of weeks old.

my

‘precious sweet little bundle’

I have used the Nursery Specialty Paper Die Cut for my base.  I framed the photo with a frame element cut from the Welcome Home patterned paper.  Various strips of papers from the paper pad sit vertically and horizontally behind the frame.  I also cut out some of the flocked damask images (so pretty) from another of the paper pad papers and these have also been layered around the photo.

The butterfly has been cut from a die with also patterned paper from the paper pad.  I quilled a thin stip of  coordinating patterned paper and this sits in the middle of each of the large butterfly.

I added a splash of colour with some Kaisercraft purple organza ribbon, clusters of pretty paper blooms and dusty mauve paper flowers and some paper butterflies (from my stash) which I shaded a darker pink/mauve colour.

A touch of Kaisercraft bling has been added with a rhinestone word and flower and a pearl flourish

Kirsty: I recently welcomed a beautiful baby nephew into the world. Yep, I am taking all the credit ;) I am so very excited to FINALLY be an aunty!

To celebrate, and because I just KNEW he was going to be a boy (my brother and his wife hadn’t found out at their scans, so it was a surprise) I created this lovely altered bracket frame to hang in his nursery.

Kirsty Piper: Lullabye Bracket Frame: Lullabye Collection: First Words(P645), Hush Little Baby(P646), 61/2′ Paper Pad(PP841), KaiserCraft Other:Paper Blooms Coconut(F627), Pearl Flourish Classic Black (PL514), Paint.

My favorite technique at the moment is to paint my OTP item in black, apply a layer of crackle medium and then paint over with white. I really love how the black coming through the white enhances the crackles :)

The little monogram in the middle? His name is Freddie, and he is absolutely adorable :)
