Spook-tacular Layouts with The 13th Hour

Hi Kaisercraft fans! Genevieve, Svetlana, and Pearl, here again to share with you some interesting and mysterious layouts using The 13th Hour Collection.

“Halloween” Layout by Pearl Lui

Materials Used:
Kaisercraft 13th Hour Midnight, Evening (front and back), Clocks Acetate, Rhinestones

Pearl says:

“The 13th Hour is perfect for Halloween photos. One of my favorite patterns is the Midnight patterned paper. I particularly love the dimension in the design, weaved between the branches are purple and orange patterns. Since the paper is so awesome as is, I wanted to keep the layout simple but echo the dimension. I drew a moon eclipse, cut it using a craft knife, and then slipped a printed acetate sheet beneath it to create some more dimension. I then clustered the photos in a 2×2 grid using various matting techniques.”

“Night in Moscow” Layout by Svetlana Austin

Other: card-stock, rub ons, white pencil, craft paint, ink, mesh.

Svetlana says:

“A few years ago I attempted to scrap these photographs. It never was finished, it just didn’t feel right. Now I know why – because I needed these papers! This collection is just perfect for scrapping night shots. I like the idea of a black and white layout with a little splash of only one extra color. I opted for the purple. The set of acetate shapes in this collection is so cool and versatile, I just couldn’t get enough of it!”

“To make the title I stamped with the alpha stamps from the collection and cut the letters out. Then I sicked them with small pieces of foam tape for some dimension.  The “o” letters are chipboard painted with white acrylic paint and stamped over with black ink.

I placed a round sticker clock under the cuckoo clock acetate shape because I wanted to add  a touch of purple there.”

“Red Square” Layout by Svetlana Austin

Other: card-stock, rub ons, white pencil, craft paint, ink, film strip, staples, hand stitching, mesh.

Svetlana says:

“I didn’t want want to make a double-page spread, I wanted these two layouts to fit with each other. It is why I used some embellishments or techniques on one and didn’t repeat it on the other.”

“Où est Miss Price ?” Layout by Genevieve Allen

Materials used:
13th Hour Collection: Paper – Night/PS16
5, Midnight/P730, Afternoon/P733; Paper Pad/PP852; Rub ons/RB938; Clear Stamps/CS792, 793; Acetate Shapes/EM965; Jewels/RS425; Sparklets/RS409; Journal Tags/JT627; Tiny alpha stickers/MA521; Mini alpha stickers/MA501; Paper blooms/F643.

Other: Embossing powder, Stickles, Glitter, flower, needle.

Genevieve says:

“The film ‘Bedknobs and Broomsticks’ inspired me for this layout! The girls in the photo; Meredith, and Britanny with her witch’s hat had wanted their photo in the orchard. I made two copies of the same photo. One black and white, and one colour. I cut just around the girls heads in the black and white then mounted it on foam and stuck it onto a coloured image. I have added a die cut element stuck on an acetate shape decorated with few elements to create detail. I also embossed around the layout, used stickles to surrounding the  die cut ‘night’. Now there is a layout that can have in my home when celebrating Halloween!”

We hope that you will have a spook-tacular day!
