Sharing some Blae and Ivy Cards
It is Toni, Michelle, Pearl and Vicki together again sharing some “Blae and Ivy” Cards with you.
_____
Vicki says “I just love the colours of the ‘Blae and Ivy” collection. For this gift card I have created a little flower embellishment as the focal point.
The flower was a perfect fit with the lace and pearl strips I have used.
If you love this little flower embellishment I have used on this card,
make sure you checkout the tutorial I have done on how to make them here:

Pearl says “The Blae & Ivy collection has an elegant style to it in addition to its shappy-chic and romantic feel. It’s perfect for an elegant thank you card! I stamped the image on white cardstock, cut and glue pennants to the cardstock in form of a banner, added pearls to tie the banner together, cut and glue a small strip of Mystic Cove pattern paper to the bottom right of the card and rubbed on the sentiment, “Thank You”. I then matted the white cardstock to the Sky pattern paper and finally matted it to the white card base. So simple, yet fun and elegant!”

Michelle had to whip up a card last week to send overseas. She wanted something flat that wasn’t going to be squashed compliments of the mail provider.
So she put together a quick tri-fold card, layered a gorgeous Blae and Ivy paper on the front and then popped on one of the sayings and then used rubons and stickers on each fold.
How true is this saying …

Friendship card by Michelle Frisby
Materials used : P699 Valley, RB924 rub ons, SS106 sticker sheet
Extras : white cardstock, ink
and another idea, this time using the journalling tags as cards.
Michelle created a purse.
Last year she was gifted a wee black purse with a few wee choccie treats. Instead of throwing out the purse packaging, she kept it and she has used it as a template.
Michelle used some of the journaling tags and typed up some friendship quotes which are tucked inside the purse … she made it as a wee pick me up for a friend.
The tags were cut/trimmed down a little so that gives you some idea of the size of the purse.

______
Toni says “The quotes that are on the journal cards on Blae & Ivy Valley are perfect for making quick and easy cards, just having to layer them with other elements onto a base card.
To add interest I distressed and inked the edges of the papers, keeping the cards easy to make, but simple and elegant.”
