I’ve layered with paper doilies and on top of them, collectable doilies from the Secret Admirer range and muslin.  I’ve hot glued on my angel wings, a quote and embellished with flowers and angels/cherubs.

Trudi features the BTP Standing Bird in her altered shadow box:

‘A Joyful Heart’ by Trudi Harrison

Kaisercraft Products: Secret Admirer Collection – P997 Mystical, P999 Flirtatious, P1000 Demure, P1001 Humble, P1002 Sweetheart, P1003 Flame, PS252 12 x 12 Die Cut Luscious, SS163 Sticker Sheet – Quotes, CT738 Collectables – Doilies, CT739 Collectables – Icons; SB2214 Standing Shape – Bird, EM960 Posies

Other: Shadow Box, Ribbon, Twigs, Gesso, Ink, Glimmer Mist, Heidi Swapp Color Shine Plastic Shards

Trudi Says:

“The Standing Bird was altered with some white gesso.  A varigated look was achieved by working with glimmer mists and color shine sprays.  The edges and some areas of the bird’s body were enhanced with a little Teal Damask Ink.  The bird was then attached to the front of a shadow box. Note: The shadow box was covered with patterned papers first.

The Secret Admirer papers have so many wonderful elements that can be fussy cut for a scissor happy gal like myself.  I absolutely adore the large frame element from the Sweetheart paper which I cut out and attached to the back wall of the shadow box to frame my photo.

A corsage decorates the bird.  This arrangement was created with some painted twigs, a few of the Collectables and fussy cut floral elements, a little ribbon and green and pink Posies.

A decorative bunting was created by folding over some of the Collectable Doily elements over a length of ribbon and securing with some glue.”

We will be back a little later with some more Tropicana inspiration.

Thanks so much for dropping by!
