Saturday Sketch March #3

March 16, 2013

Hello and welcome to another Saturday Sketch – it’s a beauty!!

We have a little bonus competition for the month of March as well :) Are you one of our Blog faithfuls that do the Saturday Sketch every week but never win… Well this competition is just for you <3

Upload a pic on Facebook of you doing any Saturday Sketch this month for the chance to win all our April Collections before time!

You can enter once per sketch, so you can enter 4 times if you want too!! You must enter your sketch on the blog, just so we know you have done the work and haven’t justuploaded a sneaky photo!!

We love seeing your entries every week so please keep them coming! Can’t wait to see you all getting your scrap on today!!

For those who haven’t played along before, here are the rules..

The rules: Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post. Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete! Find FULL terms and conditions here.

The deadline: Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

The prize: 1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $80). 2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $50. Winners will be announced at the beginning of April.

This Saturday’s Sketch is based on the layout as seen on page 13 of this month’s Workshop magazine by Danielle Krivan, ‘Once Upon A Time’:

Samantha Hauzer and Trudi Harrison from the Contributing Design Team have also put their creative spin on this  sketch.

Samantha’s Interpretation with the Lavendar Haze Collection:

Kaisercraft Products Used – Lavender Haze P1102 Wisteria, P1103 Violet, P1104 Mulberry, CT750 Collectables, Love Cherish Wood Flourishes, Ink.

Trudi’s Interpretation with the Lulu & Roy Collection:

Kaisercraft Products Used: Lulu & Roy Collection: P1081 Quaint, P1078 Classical, P1075 Beauty, PP893 Paper Pad, SS172 Sticker Sheet, PS266 Specialty Acetate Divine, CT746 Collectables

Other: MS Corner Border Punch

Trudi Says: “I replaced the series of horizontal strips with floral elements from the Lulu & Roy Collectables Pack. The banner design element of the sketch was also moved to sit along the bottom edge of the photo rather than over the top right hand corner.”
