Saturday sketch #5 – Adriana & Joanne

The rules: Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post. The deadline: Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

The prize: 1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $80). 2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $50. Winners will be announced at the beginning of September.

Kaiser Materials used:  P1276 Noteworthy, P1277 Report, P1273 Document, P1274 Recorded, P1281 I Journal, P1280 Memories, F609 Antique Pink flowers, F603 Taupe flowers, Black cardstock, FL516 I love you Wooden letters, EM968 Blossoms Orchid, T601 Chevron template, FL324 Wheat wooden flourish.

Extras: Brown inkpad, paper lace doilies, punches, white paint.

Joanne says “I used layers of tags in the bottom corner rather than doilies and I also chose to make the background mustard coloured paper layer a bordered outline only. I then lengthened the side tab out a little. As with all sketches I added extras to make it my own.”

    Awesome as usual! I teach scrapbooking layouts and your material is exquisite! Your use of tone, color, theme and media is amazing — keep up the good work and I am happy to have your site as inspiration and encouragement. You help us all get out of our comfort zone and go for the mysterious in art!
