Hello Kaisercrafties, welcome to the weekend!! How fantastic we have made it through another week. And we all know what the weekend means…A NEW SATURDAY SKETCH!!!

Let’s have a look at the rules…

The rules:

Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog.

Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete!

Find FULL terms and conditions here.

The deadline:

Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

The prize:

Now for the fun stuff!
Here is the beautiful layout by Kylie Obst that the sketch is based on:

“# 4 October Staurday Sketch”

Below we have Janna Werner and Lori Williams Leng showing us their take on the sketch for inspiration…

“Skyline” Layout By Janna Werner

Materials used:
Bonjour Collection: Moriesse (P737), Notre Dame 8p7419; Wooden Flourishes Ornate Clock (FL351), Journal Tags (JT628), Jewels (RS426), Icons Sticker Sheet (SS113), Alpha Sticker Sheet (SS114), Rub Ons (RB939), 6 ½” Paper Pad (PP853); 12×12 Acetate Sheet “four corners” (PS176)

Other: white cardstock, yarn, acrylic paint, button, date stamp, white paper, pens, black ink

As you can see Janna has taken the sketch to a more simpler level without as many flourishes and embellishments. This way the ‘skyline’ varsness takes priority…beautiful!

“Sisters” Layout By Lori Williams Leng

Lori has taken a different approach to the sketch as well and turned the sketch 90 degrees anti-clockwise. She has incorporated the beautiful flourishes into her layout which really complement the gorgeous photo of Lori and her sister..dont you think?!

Well, that’s all the inspiration we have for you today! We hope you enjoy todays sketch and look forward to seeing all of your creations!
