Saturday Sketch: #4 February

Hello everyone, and welcome to the blog for another Saturday Sketch!

Let’s have a look at the rules:

The rules: Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post. Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete! Find FULL terms and conditions here.

The deadline: Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

The prize: 1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $50). 2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $30.

Here is the layout that our Saturday Sketch is based on. It was made by Melissa Kennedy who is one of our in house designers. It’s a double layout so hopefully it will challenge you all to have a go!

“Saturday Sketch: #4 February”

Today we have Leanne Love and Michelle Frisby with us showing us their take on the sketch:

“Kindy King” Layout by Michelle Frisby

Materials list : Tiny Woods Collection Collectables, PP862 paper pad, MA505 mini alphas cream
Extras : card stock, embroidery thread, blue paper.

Michelle says:
“I’ve had a wee play with the sketch and whilst I very rarely follow a sketch in its entirety, I hope that you can see where the sketch has influenced my layout.  For the first time in a very long time, I’ve actually created a layout without any ink or paint splatters and that doesn’t happen very often.  But as you can see, I just had to add a little hand sewing – just because I can.

Don’t forget to share your layouts with us – happy creating everyone.”

“Just Us Two” Layout by Leanne Love

Kaisercraft cardstock, These days paper pad PP863, These days Collectables CT703, These days sticker sheet SS127.
Other: Tim Holtz distress stain

As you can see Leanne has flipped the sketch horizontal to create this beautiful A4 Layout. Looking forward to seeing all your special creations that you come up with using this sketch!

Hi AdrianaB. We have been experiencing difficulties with the gallery and uploading images. It unfortunately won’t let you. We are in the middle of trying to overcome this problem. You can also post you images on our Facebook page if you can’t get the link to work on our blog. Apologies for this inconvenience and thanks for being a part of the Saturday Sketch.
