“Wishes” Layout By Pearl Lui

Materials: Sweet Nothings Devoted, Sincerely, Collectables Die-Cuts, On the Move Propel, Blossom Resin Flowers Dahlia;
Other: folder, tag, black marker, sewing machine, polka dot stamp
Pearl says:
“I love sketches because it’s always so much fun to piece together the layout using my own style and details to achieve the same fundamental design blocks in the sketch. Here I have hidden journaling in the 3 envelopes along with some of the Collectables Die-Cuts as the foundation blocks from the sketch. I then decorated some more by sewing some subtle swirls to recreate the string in the sketch. My favorite part is the Blossom Resin Flower as the envelope seal, this works perfectly with all of the pretty papers from the Sweet Nothings collection. And lastly, the number pennants are created by cutting pennant shapes from the On the Move Propel paper. What are your wishes for 2012? Why not make your own version using this lovely sketch?”

Here is the blog link to my layout that I did for this yesterday. Didn’t have the sketch to work with then but I’m sure it’s similar enough as I took inspiration from one of the Designer’s layouts.
This is my take on the sketch. It was lots of fun!! Thanks for the inspiration.
