Saturday Sketch: #2 April

April 14, 2012

Hello fellow Kaisercrafties and welcome to another Saturday Sketch! Trying our Saturday sketches are a great way to start your weekend, don’t you think?! Enjoy!

Let’s have a look at the rules:

The rules: Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post. Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete! Find FULL terms and conditions here.

The deadline: Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

The prize: 1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $50). 2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $30.

Here is the layout that our Saturday Sketch is based on:

“Saturday Sketch: April #2”

Today we have Hilde Janbroers and Michelle Frisby from our Contributing Design Team to share their layouts which were created based on the above sketch….

“Follow Your Heart” Layout By Michelle Frisby

Materials list : Kaisercard coconut, 6.5” pad Tigerlilly, P803 – Blush, a variety of blooms and mini paper blooms, RB958 rub ons, MA502 mini alphas black and white

Extras: Gesso, Crafters template, gauze, chipboard heart, glimmer glaze, leaves, punches, bling, feathers

Michelle says:
“I’ve had a real play with this layout.  I love, love, love the Tigerlilly collection.  I wanted to play with the base cardstock and I did just that.  I grabbed the Gesso, a Crafters template and a popsicle stick and played.  I had a ball and once it was dried I used a cotton bud and dipped it into glimmer glaze and rubbed it around the stencilled shape.”

paperpad pp864, Fine & Sunny stamps cs820, pearl strip pink champagne pl503, chipboard alpha cb109, alpha stickers cream ma505
