Saturday Sketch: #1 July

Hi everyone!

Here we are again…the first Saturday Sketch for the month of July!

But something that makes this sketch even more special…is it’s with our new Contributing Design Team!!
(We are sure you’ll be impressed!!!)

The rules:

Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog.

From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post.

Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the approapriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete!

The deadline:

Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

The prize:

1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $50).

2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $30.

Materials Used:
Little Toot Paper Collection, Printed Chipboard Shapes, 12″ Sticker Sheet, Mini Journalling Tags, White & Chocolate Mini Alpha Stickers.
OTHER: Black pen.

“Special Memories Layout” By Michelle Frisby

Materials Used:
P693 Mineral, P697 Mystic Cove, P696 Field, F632 paper blooms – sage, EM934 pearl brads – ice green, RB924 rub ons, SS106 sticker sheet
Extras : ink, punches, wire, opal dust on the butterflies

Using the new July release, the Blae and Ivy range and what totally gorgeous colours they are!

I’ve used a water brush to wet the edges and lightly curled them with my fingers prior to inking and  I always ink while my paper edges are still wet.
I love to distress, curl, ink and layer … so you will see a whole lot of that from me.
So ladies, keep an eye out for the arrival of the Blae and Ivy range at your local scrapbooking shop, the colours are gorgeous, the papers are absolutely stunning and team them up with the rubons, stamps and tags and you will have an awesome time being creative!
