Pretty Things with The Lake House…

June 29, 2012

Happy Friday to you all – here is Svetlana, Debbie and Vicki with their final postings as design team members for Kaisercraft.

Have you ever wanted something to brighten up your wall? Well here you have some inspiration for some wall art using “The Lake House” collection.

“Bird Silhouette Wall Art” by Svetlana Austin

Materials used: Bird Silhouette Wall Art/SB2170; The Lake House Collection – Paper Pad/PP871, Collectables/CT717; Black & White Timeless Paper Pad/PP855; Clear Stamps – Grid/CS755, Botanical/CS795; Resin Blossoms – Fuchsia/EM971; Paper Blooms – Iceberg/F630, Fuchsia/F639; Mini Paper Blooms – Iceberg/F647; Pearls – Bliss/SB718; Pearl Brads – Pink Ice/EM932; Rub ons – Timeless Doilies/RB947.

Other: paint, glimmer mist, ink, distress ink, texture paste, mask, cotton tape, metal embellishment.

Svetlana says:

“I had a lot of fun playing with different mediums to create this project! Papers from the Black & White Timeless Paper Pad provided the perfect background. It followed with white paint, stamps and rub ons,  texture paste, which I applied using a mask, more distress inks and glimmer mist. It was my last project as a design team member and it was great fun – just as the rest of the year was!

I’m saying good bye and wishing you all the best!”

“Butterfly Silhouette Wall Art” by Vicki Morris

Materials used: Kaisercraft – Flutter Silhouette Wall Art, Kaisercraft – The Lake House – Springs, Kaisercraft – The Lake House – 12×12 Gloss Specialty Cottage, Kaisercraft – The Lake House – Collectables, Kaisercraft – The Lake House – Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Rhinestone Strips – Black, Kaisercraft – Paper Blooms – Coconut and Honey, Kaisercraft – Mini Paper Blooms – Coconut, Dusty Pink, Sage, Black and Honey, Kaisercraft – Grosgrain Ribbon, Kaisercraft – Sparklets – Ebony, Misc beads, Ink and Kindyglitz.

Vicki says:
“I chose the black and white spots from the “Springs” paper and contrasted this with the metallic gloss speciality paper of “The Lake House” collection for this wall art.  The little fountains are just adorable in the “collectables” so I used foam pads to layer these to give depth.  The mini paper blooms were the perfect size to complement the fountain and the larger blooms in the flourishes.”
