“Charlotte’s Dream, the perfect collection of papers to put together a layout using an old wedding photo. The photo was from when my mother-in-law married the man of her dreams way back in September 1950. A whole lot of paper curling, distressing, layering, inking and adding a few pearls, some punched butterflies and you’re done!”

Fine and Sunny Layouts..
Fine and Sunny, yes, that’s definitely an appropriate name for this Kaisercraft collection. Just looking at the papers, the die cuts, the rub ons, everything in this collection will definitely brighten your day.

“I’ve had a real play with this layout. Gorgeous photos of little Miss Emma just watching and playing with her wee kitten. I’ve used a Crafter’s template, a little gesso, a few squirts from various glimmermists, a few punches and a little layering. I’ve popped on a bit of muslin and split a few Kaiser flowers, added a few pearls and voila!”

Hello fellow Kaisercrafties and welcome to another Saturday Sketch! Trying our Saturday sketches are a great way to start your weekend, don’t you think?! Enjoy!
Let’s have a look at the rules:
The rules: Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post. Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete! Find FULL terms and conditions here.
The deadline: Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)

“Follow Your Heart” Layout By Michelle Frisby

Michelle says:
“I’ve had a real play with this layout. I love, love, love the Tigerlilly collection. I wanted to play with the base cardstock and I did just that. I grabbed the Gesso, a Crafters template and a popsicle stick and played. I had a ball and once it was dried I used a cotton bud and dipped it into glimmer glaze and rubbed it around the stencilled shape.”

“I’ve created this little shadow box in memory of both my Nanna’s. The piece of paper from the paper pad reminded me so much of them that I decided to use it as a background. I then added small pieces and details that represented them like the sewing machine.
The pink and spearmint greens work perfectly together with the white. Adding a hanging ‘chandelier’ actually gives the effect of looking into a room full of memories.”

“Rather than use the the hooks provided in the kit with the Twig Wall Art, to hang the birdhouses, I’ve used them to provide hooks to hang keys from. This makes a fun bit of wall art that’s very useful.
The bright colours of Fine & Sunny match this project perfectly.”
