Miss Nelly Collection: Cards
Hello Everyone! I hope you enjoyed today’s earlier post of Jodi’s Creative Card!
Sticking with cards, we now have the Miss Nelly Collection and how it can be used to make cards.
“Happy Birthday” Card by Cassandra Bright
Materials Used:
Miss Nelly Papers, Her Eyes (P707), Paper Pad (PP849), Canvas Tags (EM964), Mini Paper Blooms- Fushia (F656) Olive (F650), Mini Alpha Stickers-Cherry Red (MA508)
Cassandra Says:
“I LOVE pink! I generally don’t care what shade of pink, as long as it is pink! I love pink so much I had a pink wedding dress!
Ok, so now you have a full understanding of my love for pink, you will also understand why I love the Miss Nelly Collection! It contains several shades of pinks throughout the pattern paper and embellishments. Ok, ok I won’t forget all the other pretty colours either
)
Today I’d love to share a “Happy Birthday” card I created with the Miss Nelly collection. It is a standard 6x6inch card, no fancy folds today, sometimes simple is better especially with papers as gorgeous as the Miss Nelly.
I have also coloured in a gorgeous Magnolia image with pinks that match the Miss Nelly papers. For those of you who use Copic Markers the pinks for the dress are: R81, R83 & R85. I have used a mix of 12×12 Miss Nelly papers and the Mini Paper Pad papers. And to finish off the card I have added one of the cutie-pie Canvas Tags from the Miss Nelly range. I love Canvas Tags, they add texture to your projects.”

Pearl Says:
“I really adore the Miss Nelly range! I particularly like how it is shabby-chic with lots of pretty floral patterns but it’s still so bright and vibrant. I created this card by using the patterned paper, “Her Eyes” as the background of the card. I then stamped and hand-wrote the sentiment and pleated a strip of the pattern paper, “Her Style” and added finishing touches with a pearl brad and tag with a flower rub on.”

Miss Nelly Collection: 6 ½ Paper Pad (PP849), Layered Chipboard (CB132); Alpha Chipboard #1 (CB107); Mounting Foam (T302)
Janna Says:
“Miss Nelly is a wonderful collection with a wide range. You can either create very vibrant projects or use the pastel papers to make your creation look softer. To create the leaves of the 3D flower I punched out butterflies and adhered them onto the bottom. The letters are heat embossed with white embossing powder. If you have dark spots left after embossing, you can use a white pen to retouch those.”

Wow! These papers are so feminin and the rub-ons to work so well with the range!
Tips:
The dress:
- Cut and put the “dress only” rub-on on a pattern paper.
- Stick it on a white cardboard
- Put the low part and the top of the dress on the white cardboard
- Cut all along of the rub-on and stick it in 3D on your card.
To make 2 little roses with only 1 flower:
- Separate the flower and keep the center to do a mini rose

Beautiful cards! I love the teabag flower and the dress forms.
Wow… where to start! All absolutely gorgeous cards ladies… you’ve definitely shown every angle of the Miss Nelly collection!! I can’t wait to get my hands on some of the mini blooms… I can see they are perfect for cardmaking! I ordered them along with the Miss Nelly collection but unfortunately they didn’t arrive to my online stockist and we’re still waiting
Pretty cards – I like the flat ones best as we pay extra postage here in the UK when an envelope gets too thick.
This is a great assortment of cards, and really shows how lovely the Miss Nelly collection is. Great colors!
