Lush collection

July 26, 2010

This week Christy, Lesley and Monika welcome you to the Kaisercraft blog!  We’re blogging for the first time here at Kaisercraft and hope you enjoy what we have to share!

Aren´t the Lush collection just gorgeous? It´s simply perfect for my little princess.  The other day she actually told me that when she grows up she is going to become a princess and she will rule the country. I think she has been looking a bit to much at the wedding of princess Victoria.

On this layout I have used pearl strips, they are really easy to bend to the shape you want and simple to work with.

Materials used:
Willow Die-cut PS105, Bamboo P536, Paper pad PP825, Embell. Pack EM919, Printed Chipboard CB110, Pearls PL506, Grosgrain ribbon R1601, Organza ribbon R1613, Paper flower Taupe F603, Pearl SB713, Rub ons Sugar & Spice RB805

Christy:  I was so thrilled to find that the Lush collection has some wonderful charcoal gray papers to help fill my latest obsession.  I don’t know what it is about gray that holds my fancy but they’ve been frequenting my pages lately, alot!  For some time I’ve been wanting to make a layout with a list of things I promise my son and finally I can check that off my to do list!  Enjoy!

Two of my favorite things about this layout is how the Lush rub-ons look on the black & white picture, just give it an added dimension and almost look like they were part of the original photo.  The second thing that I really enjoy is mixing my title with captial and lower case letters, really captures my eye and keeps me looking for more.  I challenge you to try one of these techniques on your next layout!

Product List:  Lush Patterned Papers P532, P533, P534, P535, P536, Lush Chipboard CB110, Lush Rub-ons RB867, Lush Diecuts DC321, Alpha Stickers A224, MA501, Clear Stamps CS758, Pearls Pewter SB791.

Lesley: I instantly fell in love with the Lush collection and the colours couldnt have been more perfect for this photo of my daughter. We were on holiday and she had been sick and miserable but she picked her self up and decided to pick ‘wishes’ for us all. So sweet!

“Heart of Gold” – Lesley Cooper: Lush Patterned Papers (PS33, PS34, PS105), Lush Journaling Tags (JT601), Lush 6×6 Pad (PP825), Lush Chipboard Button (CB110), Lush Clear Stamps (CS746), Lush Rub ons – Black and White (RB867), Alpha Stickers Cream (AS222), Mini Alphas Stickers Black and White (MA501), Grosgrain Ribbon Earth (RI607) and Monochrome (RI601), Inks Black (IP707), Antique Blue (IP716) and Sandstone (IP710)

With the cream alpha stickers, I embossed them with gold and then stamped over once they had cooled with one of the Lush Clear Stamp images. The heart has also been stamped and embossed.

To make a dandelion I used a strip of grosgrain ribbon and cut it in 3 pieces lengthwise, tied a knot in the middle and then frayed out the ribbon to give the appearance of a dandelion.

And I loved playing with this range so much that I couldn’t resist a quick and simple layout using paper and elements from the 6×6 pad. These pads are crammed full of goodness! I also used a piece of chipboad, rub ons and the clear stamps.

“Perhaps” – Lesley Cooper: Lush 6×6 Pad (PP825), Lush Chipboard (CB110), Lush Rub Ons – Black and White (RB867), Lush Clear Stamps (CS746, Alphas Stickers Black (AS226)
