Le Chateau BTP Birthday Book and Framed Album

I have a terrible habit of missing birthdays. It’s not intentional, I just completely forget until it’s too late. I have been meaning to make myself one of these birthday books for the longest time and when I saw Melissa Kennedy’s address and birthday book in the May 2010 Kaisercraft Workshop Magazine I just knew I had to make a birthday book for myself. I downloaded the birthday book template from the Kaisercraft website here, and printed them off at 75% (because the  Bracket Album (SB2053) I have used as my base is a bit smaller than the Ocassions Organiser (SB146) that the template was made for). I love the colours in the Le Chateau collection, and I particularly loved the textured birdcage and chandelier paper in the 6×6 paper pad - it fits this album perfectly.

“Birthdays” by Christine Rumley – Bracket Album (SB2053), Le Chateau paper collection, 6×6 paper pad, Die-cut elements, Black Rub Ons (RB865), Colour Rub Ons (RB866), Black alpha stickers, Black Ink Pad (IP707), Silver Album Rings 3.5cm (M009)

Nikki has created a lovely keepsake for her home also using the Le Chateau collection.  Here’s what she had to say…

I have always been one to collect beautiful quotes and verses when I see them, sometimes to use later on a layout or better still to create a btp item with.  I have used the gorgeous Framed album(SB2061) to create a free standing frame of one of my favourite poems…”The Desiderata”.  I chose several different lines from the poem and placed each in a different section of the frame.  In the larger section in the middle I wrote the first line from the poem and them used wooden flourishes to embellish the outer edges”.
