It is never to early to countdown to Christmas!

September 17, 2010

Hi all – it is Vicki here and I don’t know about you but  it’s never too early to countdown to Christmas in our home.  The children (and Mummy!) love to hang the decorations early – so it was no surprise with the release of  Kaisercraft’s Christmas range that I took up the challenge to create the advent calender using the ‘Tis the Season collection:

CHRISTMAS ADVENT CALENDER

BY VICKI MORRIS

Materials used: Kaisercraft – Advent Calendar, Kaisercraft – Tis the Season – Reindeer Specialty paper, Kaisercraft – Tis the Season – Sleigh, Kaisercraft – Tis the Season – St Nick, Kaisercraft – Tis the Season – 6” Paper Pad, Kaisercolour – Raw Umber, Kaisercolour – Metallic Gold, Kaisercraft – Tiny Alpha (Chocolate), Kaisercraft –Pearls (Chocolate), Kaisercraft – Pearl Strips (Chocolate), Kaisercraft – Pearl brads (Ice Green), Kaisercraft – Pearl brads (Latte), Kaisercraft – Wood flourishes – Small Flourish Tree, String

The pearl brads from Kaisercraft were the perfect addition to work as little handles for little fingers on each of the boxes.

I also loved all the Christmas sayings and stories that were printed within the Christmas times – so I chose my favourite sayings and made little newspaper scrolls to compliment the full edition of the Christmas times on the wall.

The only problem I have now is that the children think that we should start the advent calendar now :)
