Hunt and Gather: Cards

Good afternoon everyone!

Today we are sticking with the theme of cards. In this post we will show you how the Hunt and Gather Collection can be used to make any type of card for that special someone!

I hope you will be inspired, and try one for yourself!

Voucher/money card holder – by Michelle Frisby

Materials Used:
PP848 paper pad, MA506 mini alphas latte, SS107 sticker sheet, MA519 tiny alphas, Corrugated tags
Extras :  cardstock, twine and ink

Michelle Says:

“I seem to regularly give gift vouchers and money, and instead of popping them in a card, I make a wee voucher / money holder card and pop inside something as a treat for the recipient.

I’ve used a piece of card stock as my base and used some of the papers from my 6.5” pad, and scored them in half.
I’ve grabbed my circle punch and made a half circle each end and then decorated the top.
I made this voucher holder as a gift for Father’s Day – hence the wee September calendar on the top.
Father’s Day isn’t too far away.  For once, I’m totally prepared!”

“Celebrate” Card By Pearl Lui

Materials Used:
Hunt & Gather Paper Pad (PP848), Trek (P703); Party Rubon (RB890); Pearls (PL506);
Other: transparency, sequins

Pearl says:
“The Hunt & Gather collection is amazing for masculine cards, but I thought I’d take a slightly different approach. I used the more rustic appeal of the colors in the collection and created a card great for pairing with a bottle of wine for a lovely congratulatory gift!

I cut strips of pattern paper and created flags. I then added dimension by cutting thinner flags and sewed them to the base flags. One of my favorite parts of the card is the window created using nested dyes. I added a transparency behind the window so that I can add a rub-on sentiment to it. And finally, a sprinkle of punched shapes, sequins and pearls, and voila!”

Janna Says:
” To create a multi layer card use some details that you add between or onto the single paper pieces, it makes the card look more playful and easy. Leaving the chipboard in its original colour gives a rustic touch to the card, so does the kraft cardstock “

The scene is framed in a cut out window that is raised with foam tape.  In person it gives the illusion of a window.”

First I made it “dirty” with some brown craft paint then the crackle paint made the “dirt” even more real-looking :-) I lifted a little bit of the middle part of the card (where the writing is) by placing it on a piece of corrugated cardboard.”
