A close up …

Michelle says:
“I’ve had a play with this one – the first time I spied the Periwinkle collection I thought to myself ‘wow’.  I them came across the MDF word ‘Paris’ and I knew what I wanted to do.  I’ve painted numerous coats of white paint on the word ‘Paris’, and on the bird cage … I’ve then used a mask and texture paste and played and played some more.  I totally love the effect, it’s almost like a stippling and I’ll definitely do this again.  I’ve painted the long French plaque and covered it in one of the Periwinkle papers and lightly sanded around the edges.  Using a metal die and my Cuttlebug I cut out two elegant scrolls and placed them under some flowers.  I rummaged around in some crafting supplies and found some more cotton reels.  I’ve used a strip from the one Periwinkle papers and cut out the word ‘dream’ and adhered to the cotton reel and then I’ve used a little more texture paste on the top of the reel and along the edges of the paper strips, just randomly.  I’ve lifted the bird cage a little to sit on my plaque – this is sitting on some more of the cotton reels.  My hot glue gun has had a bit of a work out putting it all together.

My dream is to one day visit Paris and this wee BTP will take pride of place on one of my scrap shelves, as a constant reminder of that dream.

Happy creating everyone”.
