“Decorating your house can be so much fun… so why not create a Halloween decoration using Kaisercraft’s 13th Hour collection? A mixed media canvas is easily made: get a canvas and adhere some paper for the background, then start applying details to your project. Kaisercraft offers a lot of lovely embellishments like printed chipboard, acetate shapes and jewels that let your creation shine.”

Haunted House by Toni Crane

Products used:
Kaisercraft 13th Hour Dusk (P734), Midnight (P730), 13th Hour Journal Tags (JT627), 13th Hour Clear Stamps (CS792), Kaisercraft Wooden Flourish Iron Fence (FL329), Branch (FL358), Iron Gate FL337), Kaisercraft Rectangular Placemat (W007).

Other: Chipboard, Paint, Ink, Ranger Colour Washes, Air Drying Clay, German Scraps Embossed Borders, Cotton Wool, Texture Paste.

Toni says:
“I had a lot of fun making this Haunted House. I repurposed a placemat as the base, and covered it with texture paste and then ran a roller over it to get the texture of grass. Chipboard is easy to bend into curves by spritzing it with water, bending it into shape over something like a can and letting it dry. This is how I got all of the curves of the house and verandah roof.
Don’t forget all of the details to get the true look of an abandoned house. The gates and fences have all been broken and to add to the feel of a haunted house, I’ve used cotton wool as cobwebs.”

“Treat bag” by Ann-Katrin Toresen

Materials used:
13th Hour paper Midnight P730, Paper Pad PP852, Printed Chipboard CB134, Lace pack black EM929, Sparklets Saffron RS412, Rhinestones Bronze SB776, Paper blooms Terracotta F635, Mini Crocket Doilie EM952 and 12×12 Acetate Twig  PS171.

Ann-Katrin says :

“How about a treat bag with lots of candy on Halloween? This can be a great gift on Halloween and you can fill it up with anything. Maybe you have a friend who would love some papertreats? I have used a lunch bag, cut out a circle, used the acetate sheet in the back (so the treat will stay inside the bag) and there you go. Happy Halloween!”
