Card Making Layouts

Flower Power-Hippy Girl

August 26, 2010

Hello, LG, Nerrida and Karen here, bringing you some layouts & cards featuring the ” Hippy Girl” range of papers and embellishments.

Karen says “This is such a bright and happy range, it makes me think of spring and sunshine, and seeing as spring is just around the corner for us here in Australia, I decided to do a pretty, flowery, spring inspired layout of my daughter.

“More spice than sugar” by Karen Shady

Materials: Hippy girl collection. “harmony” (P554), “Earth” (P550), “Luna” (P555), “Sunshine” (P551), “Delilah” (PS112), Paper pad (PP828), Pearls “champagne” (SB714), “Hot pink” (SB787), Alpha stickers “cream” (AS222), Mini alphas “latte” (MA506), foam tape,  ink “hot pink” (IP713)

To make the lace edge around the large circle, I used 4  strips of the pink “earth” paper, and a lace border punch, I  roughly pleated the lace into a circle shape, and attatched it under the “sunshine” paper with double sided tape. I couldnt resist cutting out some glittery flowers and leaves from the “Delilah” specialty paper, and some leaves from the “Luna” paper. I used foam tape to attatch the flowers to my layout, to lift them off the page a little. I then used some Kaisercraft pearls as the centres for the flowers”.

LG said “I love the Hippy Girl collection because it’s perfect for girly photos, spring, and fun photos. The combination of colors and patterns is just amazing.”

“Princess”  layout by LG Belarmino – Kaisercraft Hippy Girl Collection 12×12 Double Sided patterned papers, Paper Pad (PP828), Die Cut Elements (DC324), and Printed Chipboard (CB113),. Nerrida said: I’m really into cards at the moment and particularly love the 6×6 paper pad for making them. Hardly any wastage & you can make them so pretty – I could have made about 10 or more just in this colour scheme.
