Circles in the sand layout by Jowilna Nolte

November 27, 2017

Hi everyone, just popping in to share this quick and budget friendly layout perfect for summer.
Circles in the sand came to mind as I created this fun and economical layout.
Sometimes you don’t need to spend loads of money on a project to achieve great effects. Sometimes Less is more.
For this layout I wanted to use the sand background paper but it was a bit overwhelming for my style of scrapping so i made a plan.

Using a set of nesting circle die-cuts I cut several circles from my paper pad.
The dies give me both the center cut out as well as a thing border.
These circles were adhered to the sand background P2415 Surfers (reverse).

Then i cut the entire circle piece from the sand background and adhered it onto a white background before adding my other elements.
M y photo was also cut using my dies and adhered inside the matching frame.

These cut little fish die-cuts are just too cute. I backed some of them with the same sand paper and left some as is.

Blue diamante adds a bit of detail to the fish for eye.

And as a finishing touch I stenciled the splash in two different shades of blue at the bottom of my circle center on the left and right side.
The two blues gives me the right amount of interest while keeping it uncomplicated.

A quick layout perfect for any budget – dress it up with more techniques or keep it simple as I did.
No matter what your style of scrapping you can make this fun summer layout work for you. Just in time to capture those holiday pictures.
