When inking resist paper allow to dry and clean up your white parts with a baby wipe to give you a crisp background.

Dont forget to foam mount some of your butterflies, to add dimension.

Fussy cut the butterflies from P2276  Wings, there are plenty of options…..

Heres a video tutorial on how I created this layout:

Quick Watercolour Cards with Kylie plus Video.

March 14, 2017

Hello friends, Kylie with you all again today!

I’m sharing how to make some gift cards that you will find are so quick and you will find yourself creating them in no time! I’m using the new ‘Wildflower’ collection. This range has a beautiful, soft theme of florals and watercolour prints in a gorgeous pastel colour palette.

Here is a little look at my completed cards-

I was really happy with the completed result of these cards.I’d love to share with you how I made them and there is also a short video process you can watch as well. But first here is what you will need-

I am using the PS484 Sentiments Gloss paper. It has different quotes on 12 cards that you can seperate for your projects.I am also using the following-

Your favourite Kaiser Mist colours.(Be adventurous and add lots of different colours!)

Some double sided tape and foam dots or tape.

Water mist spray bottle.

Plastic packaging bag or sandwich bag.

Glue.

PP1016 Wildflower Paper Pad and CT878 Collectables.

Once you have your supplies gently fold and tear which quote card you would like to use.I also like to trim off the perforated edge so it has a neat finish.

Next take your plastic packaging bag or sandwich bag and spray your Kaiser Mist colours together in a cluster. You don’t need to go crazy, less is more for this technique. Then spray over the Kaiser Mist with the water mist. This is totally optional, I find by doing so gives a softer result. If bold is your tune then don’t add your water.

*TIP- Don’t over spray or saturate.

Next, take your sentiments card and face down press over the watercolours on the plastic bag.Keep moving and pressing the card around until you are happy with the result.Allow it to dry fully!  It will look a little something like this-

Next take your fave piece of paper from the paper pad….(It will be hard to decide as they are all so pretty!)……And fold it in half.Using the sentiments card as a guide, trim down the paper to size, allowing a slight border.

*TIP- Do make sure the Kaiser Mist is fully dry!

Using double sided tape, adhere the card to the backing…..

All that is left to do now is embellish. I told you they were quick! Once you have finished you will have some pretty little gift tags like these…………..

I hope my tutorial has given you some inspiration today.I have also prepared a short process video for you to watch as well.Enjoy!!

Until next time,

Kylie.

Beautiful Wildflower Gift Cards

March 10, 2017

Hi everyone, Sonia here with the gorgeous new Wildflower Collection for March. This collection is an amazing watercolour based colour palette in stunning tones of pinks and blues with the most gorgeous floral images.

One of the specialty papers is Gloss Sentiments paper (PS484) and sometimes it’s hard to know how to use these papers as they just look white until you start playing (the image below has the sentiments in black just for illustration purposes). The gloss acts as a resist and it really just up to your imagination as to what the finished project will look like – that’s what makes them so much fun!!

I just fell in love with this paper and decided to make some gift cards. I find these are always useful to have in my stash – they can be used just as they are or can be added to cardstock to make a quick card or even as cute name tags for the table at a party.

‘Wildflower Gift Cards’

Kaisercraft products used: P2268 ‘In Bloom’ | P2269 ‘Vines’ | P2272 ‘Flowering’ | P2276 ‘Wings’ | PS484 Sentiments Gloss | CT878 Wildflower Collectables | CD101 Coconut cardstock | LDB1059 Natural Twine | DD510 Nesting Frames Die | KM103 Yellow Kaiser Mist | KM105 Turquoise Kaiser Mist | KM110 Pink Kaiser Mist | KM111 White Kaiser Mist

How gorgeous are they? The sentiments are beautiful and the Kaiser Mists leave that little bit of sparkle on the surface that just adds to the fun! The next few images will show the finish on the cards and how they were achieved. Remember once you have sprayed the colour, give the gloss words a wipe with a baby wipe. As the gloss acts as a resist, the baby wipe will wipe away the colour that has gone on the words and leave it nice and white!

These two cards were made using a combination of Kaiser Mists in Turquoise and Yellow. Once the mists were dry, some Kaiser Mist in White was flicked over the cards. The first card was sprayed lightly with the two colours and then water was spritzed over the top to allow the colours to run and soften

This second card has a slightly different finished look – this one was achieved by spritzing water on the card first and then spraying the two mists over the surface

These next cards were using the Turquoise Mist just by itself so there is no blending of colours at all. Again the first card was sprayed with mist and then water sprayed on top to move the colour around the surface:

This card is the same colour with the water added to the surface of the card first before the Turquoise Mist was sprayed:

These two cards have been sprayed with the Pink Kaiser Mist – this is such a beautiful and soft colour! I haven’t flicked any White Mist over the surface after the Mists are dried as the ‘Throw Kindness around like confetti’ card already has some gorgeous dots on the paper in gloss that resisted the Mist.

This final card was sprayed with water before the Mist was applied. This just helps the Mist to run all over the surface of your project and by moving the card around it will then move the Mist smoothly around as well. Once it dries it leaves a wonderful array of light and dark spots

These were so fun to make so hopefully you can get a chance to pick up some of the Gloss specialty papers and have some messy fun with your Kaiser Mists and a water spray bottle!

Mini Album Terhi Koskinen Wildflower

Minibook by Terhi Koskinen

March 8, 2017

Hey all! It’s Terhi Koskinen here with our brand new ‘Wildflower’ collection. I just love the look of watercolor effect and couldn’t resist making a minibook to archieve some beautiful photos of my dear furry friend.

The pastel colors and delicious by themselves, but I wanted to add some extra contrast, and that’s why picked up some black ribbon as well as black thread, and even black drops of mists.

The minibook is easy to have on a shelf too and it stands by itself. Looks pretty, and who doesn’t like personal decorations in home!

Decorations are mostly from collectables, few words are there to give more interest and supporting the theme of this amazing creature.

Hope you feel inspired! And if you need more animal inspiration to your scrapbooks, hope you take a look to our new ‘Pawfect’ collection ;)
