Saturday Sketch: #2 April
Hello fellow Kaisercrafties and welcome to another Saturday Sketch! Trying our Saturday sketches are a great way to start your weekend, don’t you think?! Enjoy!
Let’s have a look at the rules:
The rules: Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog. From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post. Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete! Find FULL terms and conditions here.
The deadline: Comments with linked layout entries for each monthly sketch challenge will close on the last day of that month at 11.59 (Australian Eastern Standard Time UTC +10/Daylight Savings Time UTC +11)
The prize: 1st PLACE: One of Kaisercraft’s new collections (valued at approximately $50). 2nd PLACE: A Kaisercraft scrap pack (including new products) valued at approximately $30.

Today we have Hilde Janbroers and Michelle Frisby from our Contributing Design Team to share their layouts which were created based on the above sketch….
“Follow Your Heart” Layout By Michelle Frisby
Materials list : Kaisercard coconut, 6.5” pad Tigerlilly, P803 – Blush, a variety of blooms and mini paper blooms, RB958 rub ons, MA502 mini alphas black and white
Extras: Gesso, Crafters template, gauze, chipboard heart, glimmer glaze, leaves, punches, bling, feathers
Michelle says:
“I’ve had a real play with this layout. I love, love, love the Tigerlilly collection. I wanted to play with the base cardstock and I did just that. I grabbed the Gesso, a Crafters template and a popsicle stick and played. I had a ball and once it was dried I used a cotton bud and dipped it into glimmer glaze and rubbed it around the stencilled shape.”

Hello fellow Kaisercrafties and welcome to another Saturday Sketch! We hope you’re having a wonderful Easter weekend and the Easter Bunny spoils you all tomorrow! We hope you enjoy this sketch and the inspiration you find below!

Toni says: “I had a bit of fun with this sketch, flipping it 90 degrees, and placing the papers all on an angle. I also kept all paper cutting to a minimum, using papers from the paper pad. The pages were a perfect size and matched the photos. This helps to make a quick and easy layout without a lot of fuss.”

As you will notice, Jodi has turned the sketch 90 degrees anti-clockwise to create her wonderful layout using the Technologic range!

Other: cardstock, metal cogs, metal button, rhinestone stars, backers twine, hand stitching, paint, staples, ink, black pen.
Svetlana says: “I turned the sketch on its side and used paper strips instead of butterflies. I matted all the elements on black cardstock. That and lifting some elements (photograph, a star and a cog) with foam tape, added depth and dimension to my layout.”
