Hide and Seek Renee Aslette Tutorial Tuesday

Dream Big Little One

July 3, 2018

Hi There Friends,

I am so excited about this month’s new releases.  Especially the Hide and Seek Collection.

This collection is so versatile, it has elements for both the females and males in your life.  To top that off, the colours are AMAZING!!

So with that in mind, I thought I would create a layered layout using the Hide and Seek Collection, including a video for you to see how it all came together.

So that’s me in this layout, wonky teeth and all!!

Here are some close-ups:

Loads of pretty embellishments are featured around the photo.

The gorgeous leaves are created by using the PP1047 Hide and Seek Paper Pad and the DD169 Decorative Die – Double Vine.

The title Dream Big Little One is a Clear Stamp from the Collection and the Kaisercraft Black Ink Pad.

To see how this layout was created you can watch this video.

Thanks so much for stopping by. xx. Have a great week.

Lovely Days With You a Layout by Renee Aslette

June 25, 2018

Hello Friends,

Today I have a layout and video to share with you using the Full Bloom Collection.

There are so many pretty patterned papers in this collection.  Whenever I begin a layout, I flick through all my papers and decide what I would like to use.  I had 6 papers in my hand.  So I decided to base my layout on strips of these papers.  Here was the end result.

Here are some close-ups:

I love using a torn edge and a little sneaky element popping through.

You can see here in this photo all the pretty papers.  I used a heavy ruler and tore each piece from the Paper Pad.

The love love love strip was from the bottom of the background paper.  I often use those strips on my layouts.

The title “Lovely Days With You” came from the Sticker Sheet.  And there is another tear with a flower popping through on the bottom corner of the layout.

Here is the video tutorial to show you how I created this layout using the Fully Bloom Collection.

Renee Aslette Stargazer

Love You To The Moon And Back ~ a layout by Renee Aslette

May 14, 2018

Hello Friends,

So excited to share this layout I created using the new Stargazer Collection.

I would have to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this collection.  It has so many cool elements and the colours are just amazing.  It is versatile too, you can create for masculine or feminine layouts.

This photo is my youngest boy Lucas.  I always tell him that I love him to the moon and back.

Use MILKY WAY (Reverse) as the background for this layout.

Start by using the Starburst 6 x 6 Designer Template, with Whipped Spackle or Texture Paste.  Use the template in two places on the layout, one to the left just down from centre and then once to the right just above the centre.  Allow to dry.

Once dry I used Tinby Designs Color Crush Deep Ocean and Blueberry.  I sprinkle a little of each colour around the pattern, then spray water and dab with paper towel to take away the wetness. Then repeat the process.

This is how the background was created.

It is then just a matter of layering the photo, collectables, and stickers.

But probably my favourite part was using the new Decorative Die – DD216 – Scribble Star.

I think this will be a go to decorative die for me.

Here are some close-ups:

So many fun elements to play with.

Pen and Ink Renee Aslette Tutorial Tuesday

“LOVE” a Pen and Ink Layout Tutorial by Renee Aslette

April 17, 2018

Hello Friends,

Today is all about the “LOVE”.

I have used the Pen and Ink Collection to create this Tuesday Tutorial.

I began with the background P2510 Wallpaper, then I tore a piece to the left and right of P2511 Lacey paper.

I always like to layout my embellishments and photo mat so that I know where they will sit.

I then set about creating a stamped background with the CS324 Clear Stamp set from this collection.  I used the Kaisercraft Ink Pad – Black and the floral stamp from the set.  Here is what it looked like before I lay everything down.

Some of it does get covered, but there will be pieces that pop out.

Then it is just a matter of layering.

Below you will find a video tutorial that will show you how I created the layers.

Here are some close-ups:

I love how this collection can be used with the neutral colourings, or you could add a pop of colour.

I added a little Printed Tape – Arrows Black to this layout, and it was the perfect combination.

Here you can see some of the stamping detail.

DD443 Decorative Die – Film Edges was used for a piece of the layering along with all the beautiful pieces from the Collectables and the Sticker Sheet.

Here is the video:

Kaisercraft Products: Pen and Ink Collection – P2510 Wallpaper | P2511 Lacey | P2513 Stamps (Reverse) | PP1041 Paper Pad | SS360 Sticker Sheet | CT934 Collectables | CS324 Clear Stamp | IP719 Ink Pad – Black | DD443 Film Edges | CS214 Acrylic Stamping Block | T315 Double Sided Tape | PT212 Printed Tape – Arrows Black

Misty Mountains Renee Aslette

Loved & Beautiful – a layout by Renee Aslette

March 2, 2018

Hello Friends,

It’s Renee here, to share with you, a layout I created using the new release Misty Mountains Collection.

This collection features so many pretty elements.  The colours are gorgeous.

The photo on this layout is my niece Madelyn.  I always look for a photo that will be perfectly matched to the collection I am using at the time.

There are loads of details in this layout and many layers.

I started by using the P2501 Eclipse (Reverse) paper.

I then layered some Whipped Sparkle with the IT027 Mini Designer Template – Damask.

I used the template in 4 areas on my background.

I inked onto plastic packaging and stamped using the following Kaisercraft Ink Pads.  IP732 Orchid, IP725 Petal Pink and IP728 Saffron combined with water.  These inks are the perfect colours for this collection.  I then finished off with a strip from the Sticker Sheet.

Here are some close-ups of the finished layout:

Here you can see how layered the template is.  So much detail in the texture.

Loads of Kaisercraft flowers and layers in the clusters.

The Title “Loved & Beautiful” is from the CT933 Collectables.

Another cluster of flowers.
