Today I have a layout and video to share with you using the Full Bloom Collection.
There are so many pretty patterned papers in this collection. Whenever I begin a layout, I flick through all my papers and decide what I would like to use. I had 6 papers in my hand. So I decided to base my layout on strips of these papers. Here was the end result.
Here are some close-ups:
I love using a torn edge and a little sneaky element popping through.
You can see here in this photo all the pretty papers. I used a heavy ruler and tore each piece from the Paper Pad.
The love love love strip was from the bottom of the background paper. I often use those strips on my layouts.
The title “Lovely Days With You” came from the Sticker Sheet. And there is another tear with a flower popping through on the bottom corner of the layout.
Here is the video tutorial to show you how I created this layout using the Fully Bloom Collection.
Layering is an effective and popular way of adding dimension to a project. Today the Design Team have come up with some Tips for Layering that might be helpful to you when adding layers to your creations.

For adding volume to my project I used collectables, fussy cut images and stamped embellishments. I also added sisal to make the composition lighter and airy.
When fussy cutting dont be afraid to layer in shapes, like I have done here in circles with everything coming out from that!!

Love Always Layout by Jowilna Nolte
Layer with a purpose.
For this layout I added layered clusters of flowers just below my photograph to ground the photo.
The layering gives the photo somewhere to sit and also frames the image beautifully.
You can also layer ink colours like I did, using two different shades of pink for interest.
Layer stamping on top of inked backgrounds to add interest.
So there are several ways to add layering to your layouts and cards – but always have a purpose for what you are doing.

A helpful layering tip I have always worked with is not being afraid to cut stickers or collectables in half to layer behind or underneath focal points and to build depth. By doing so you are able to get more from your supplies and make them go further.
Arranging the layers in slightly angled way gives lots of dimension to your work.Add the embellishments/die cuts in different levels to give more depth to your composition, you can also use foam tape for the top most layer.
Are you inspired to think about layering in your own creative projects? What tips could you add for fellow crafters? Please mention them in the comments below. I’m adding this to one of my favorites because of the gorgeous floral patterns, the soft pastel colors and the rose gold foiling in this collection. And the wood background! Totally swoon-worthy!
I used this distressed wood paper as the background/base to my layout. I just love how it made the colorful papers and embellishments stand out.
“You Make My Life Beautiful”
Then I added strips to the top part using a border punch to one of the strips.
The pink and white splatters tie up the top part and bottom part together. So it doesn’t look like disconnected.
I adhered the smaller paper strips in the middle using foam tape for dimension. I alternated the patterns and colors with a doily and white thread to create interest. I downloaded a bow pattern from the internet (just type “bow template” in the search button and you’d see a lot of different templates. Just get save and use the one you like) and made one and accentuated the bottom of the photo with it. I just traced it with pencil and fussy cut with scissors.
I used one of the word arts in the sticker sheet as the layout’s title. I adhered it to the bottom part of the layout using foam tape.

For my card, I used the Little Buds Embossing Folder EF285.
To add some colour and make the embossing stand out more, I inked the top half of my embossing folder with a grey ink, misted with water
and then embossed the tiny floral paper from the paper pad.
Once dry, the embossed pattern was a lot more visible than on the white background of the paper.
