Hello! Donna here sharing today’s project using the beautiful Fairy Garden collection. I love the soft pastel colors, florals, butterflies and fairies in this collection. It’s perfect for whimsical and magical themed crafty projects.
For my project, I made this simple card with lots of fussy cutting. I splattered some white glimmer mist before adhering anything for a little bit of sparkle.
I used a polka dots paper from the 6.5 paper pad, cut it into a 1-inch strip and pleated it.
I fussy cut a couple of big floral images from the Moonstone paper and then mounted a die cut from the Collectables pack with foam tape for dimension. I also fussy cut some butterflies and fairies.
I also customized the envelope and the inside of the card with some papers from the 6.5 paper pad.
It’s Mabel here again to share with you a layout that I did with a little interactive element. A shaker layout! Instead of creating a usual shaker card, I had incorporated the element into a layout.
I was inspired by Kaisercraft’s new collection ‘Fairy Garden’.
The piece ‘Fantasy’ (P2488) was particularly suitable for this project. I had fussy cut out the blank space in the loop and glue on a sheet of acetate on the flipped side of the page in preparation of making a shaker layout.
I had mount the piece on foam tape or cardboard to create room for sequins to move about and then I poured assorted sequins into the pocket created with the foam tape/ cardboard and seal the base. The base I had chosen is ‘Fairy Land’ (P2492).
Now that the shaker component is completed, I had glued on my sentiment from the sticker sheet as well as layering some pieces from the collectables for more interest. By fussy cutting out more flowers and fairies of assorted sheets of the same collection, I am able to add dimensions to my project.

“Altered Mini Wood Boxes” Decor Project by Donna Espiritu
These are the small boxes where the wooden flourishes were originally stored. Once opened, I transfer the flourishes in a plastic storage so I am left with these empty wooden boxes and I couldn’t throw them away because I know one day I’d use them somehow. And today’s post is the perfect excuse!
I used the Kaisercraft File Set to smoothen some of the areas that are uneven and to also prevent splinters later on.
