Fairy Garden Jowilna Nolte Layouts Misty Mountains Tutorial Tuesday Tutorials

Tuesday Tutorial by Jowilna Nolte

March 27, 2018

I love creating layouts using more than 1 range of papers. Finding ways of incorporating different papers and elements together is so much fun.
Today I am showing you how I used the 2 ranges from this month together to create a double page layout. And I simply love it!

and

In my opinion it adds lots of interest. It can also help you use up all your stash that may be stumping your creativity a bit.
Use what you have and find ways to make it work together beautifully.

Adding Interest to your flowers

For my flower centers I used a custom mixture of different coloured micro-beads and glitter. I wanted to add some dimension to the flowers
and this was the perfect way to do it without too much bulk. The different colours also helped to pull together all the different colours in my layout.

step 1 – Cut out all the flowers for your layout using your Precision scissors from the Moonstone paper sheet.

step 2 – Add a small amount of dimensional glaze where you want to add the beads.

step 3 – Lightly sprinkle the micro-bead mixture over the glaze and leave to dry. Decant the excess beads back into the container.

Adding colour to the background

To pull everything together on my background I used different inks in green and purple, representing the two different ranges of papers.

step 1 – Add a few drops of ink onto a small plastic packet. Lightly mist the ink with water.

step 2 – Stamp the ink onto the patterned paper sheets you are using on your background.

step 3 – Leave the ink to dry completely and then cut your different papers into strips to use on your background.

The inked paper strips form my background and the inked pieces adds interest and ties everything together beautifully.

Cluster the flowers in the top left and right hand corners to frame your photos and paper strips in the middle.

A few dark purple elements like the stamped triangle and buttons pick up on the dark purple pieces throughout the layout.

Fairy Garden Kavitha Scrapbooking layout Specialty Papers

We make our own fairytale – Layout by Kavitha

March 22, 2018

Hello everyone!! Kavitha with you here today with a new inspiration using beautiful “Fairy garden” collection. This collection is definitely one of my most favorite ever, fairies and gardens are always my favorite subject plus the pastel shades and gorgeous florals makes it even more beautiful.

I decided to make a layout using the gorgeous die cut specialty paper, now it makes everything even more magical, doesn’t it?

I fussy cut lots of flowers, birds and other images  from the paper collection.I wanted them to be in varied dimension,so i cut few papers from the collection into 3 by 4 and 4 by 5 inches size, glue them together with chipboard in between each layers. While i stick them,i just put the glue in the center so that i can easily tuck in the flowers and other embellishments between the layers.

I have also used foam dots to the top layer of  flowers, fairies and butterflies for more dimension

The fairies and butterflies are cut from 12*12 specialty paper with glitters, isn’t it so gorgeous?

Card Making Donna Espiritu Fairy Garden

“Make Your Own Magic” ~ Fairy Garden Card

March 19, 2018

Hello! Donna here sharing today’s project using the beautiful Fairy Garden collection. I love the soft pastel colors, florals, butterflies and fairies in this collection. It’s perfect for whimsical and magical themed crafty projects.

For my project, I made this simple card with lots of fussy cutting. I splattered some white glimmer mist before adhering anything for a little bit of sparkle.

I used a polka dots paper from the 6.5 paper pad, cut it into a 1-inch strip and pleated it.

I fussy cut a couple of big floral images from the Moonstone paper and then mounted a die cut from the Collectables pack with foam tape for dimension. I also fussy cut some butterflies and fairies.

I also customized the envelope and the inside of the card with some papers from the 6.5 paper pad.

Kaisercraft Products: Fairy Garden Collection: P2495 Moonstone| CT932 Collectables | PP1039 Paper Pad | SS358 Sticker Sheet | CD511 White Card Pack | T321 Acid-Free Craft Glue | T302 Foam Dots | T315  Double Sided Tape

Other: White Thread, White Glimmer Mist
