Hello Kaisercrafties, welcome to the weekend!! How fantastic we have made it through another week. And we all know what the weekend means…A NEW SATURDAY SKETCH!!!

Let’s have a look at the rules…

The rules:

Each Saturday every month a new sketch and inspirational layouts will be posted here on the blog.

From these 3-5 sketches (depending on how many Saturday’s there are), you have that many chances to create a layout of your own and upload it to any gallery of your choice, or in a blog post.

Once done, link your layout into the comments section of the appropriate sketch blog post and you’re entry is complete!

“Skyline” Layout By Janna Werner

Other: white cardstock, yarn, acrylic paint, button, date stamp, white paper, pens, black ink

As you can see Janna has taken the sketch to a more simpler level without as many flourishes and embellishments. This way the ‘skyline’ varsness takes priority…beautiful!

Lori has taken a different approach to the sketch as well and turned the sketch 90 degrees anti-clockwise. She has incorporated the beautiful flourishes into her layout which really complement the gorgeous photo of Lori and her sister..dont you think?!

Toni says:
“I flipped the sketch and replaced the smaller photo with a journalling block and used a larger main photo. Rather than using a banner, I used one of the acetate shapes. I usually look at a sketch, and interpret the shapes as the base for my layout.
My youngest son is currently collecting and reading the Goosebumps books, and the 13th Hour papers matched them perfectly.”
