Beyond the Page with Magnolia Grove…

June 1, 2012

Welcome to Friday!  It is Svetlana and Vicki here to share some inspiring projects using the Magnolia Grove collection

Vicki says:

“The Square Ornate frame from Kaisercraft was just the perfect fit for this family photo.  After layering the background with Magnolia Grove papers I had room to embellish the frame without covering the photo.”

“Love” Frame by Vicki Morris

Materials used: Kaisercraft – Square Ornate Frame, Kaisercraft – Magnolia Grove – Posh, Kaisercraft – Magnolia Grove – Paper Pad, Kaisercraft – Magnolia Grove – Collectables, Kaisercolour – Antique White, Kaisercraft – Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink and Buttercream, Kaisercraft – Rhinestones & Flourishes, Misc Embossing Powder, Stencils, Metallic Rub ons, Inks, Flowers and Leaves.

“Once I had painted the frame I then used modelling paste, stencils, embossing powder and glitter to age the frame.”

“Placing a flourish of flowers on two of the corners added to the frame. I used Kaisercraft’s paper blooms in Dusty Pink and Buttercream which team well with the Magnolia Grove papers.”

Svetlana says:

“I decorated this writing desk to use it as a pretty keepsake box for all the beautiful hand-made cards I receive from my crafty friends. I had a lot of fun layering and cluttering all the papers and embellishments to achieve the desirable result. I used glimmer mist to unite all the elements together but then I added a few “clean” pieces for some contrast and interest. Honestly, I am very pleased to have this pretty thing on the table in my craft room:-)”
